Revoked was your word originally. Either way the bold is not true.....at this time. In fact if you had read the original memo you would know that it was set to take effect immediately anyway.

You said that. Confused? You also said you condone incestuous marriages because there is nothing wrong between two consenting adults who love each other and want to raise children.

Doesn't matter who used the word originally. I used it in a negation, you used it in an affirmation. It has not been revoked, which is what I have said all along. Simply suspended until further notice. Suspension is a temporary state. Revocation is permanent. It could be right back on the books tomorrow.

If someone believes that they know with 100% certainty what God meant from book that was written by man and re-interpreted 100's of times over by additional men, then yeah, they are delusional. And when they use that to instill hatred against others, then they are more than delusional.

You might want to read a book called God's Lunatics. Subtitled: Lost Souls, False Prophets, Martyred Saints, Murderous Cults, Demonic Nuns, and other victims of Man's Eternal Search for the Divine.

Then I will start another thread to discuss just that so you won't feel the need to consistently use religion as your argument in a thread in which you have been repeatedly asked to leave relgion out.
 
I think it is inevitable that Navy Chaplains are empowered to perform gay marriages. The other military branches will follow suit. It is no big deal to me, really. I am surprised it is not done yet.

You actually made that claim. Your claim was that you know with absolute certainty what God thinks about all this.

Well, people who *think* they are God think they know what God is thinking.

Doubtful. Even the original memo authorizing the weddings wouldn't take effect until after DADT is gone.

Added note: The memo was only for Navy chaplains. The Air Force and Army chaplains were not included, so they haven't yet been given any permission to perform same-sex weddings.

When and if it's allowed, it will be only in the few states that not only allow same-sex marriages but also have Navy bases with chaplains on board who are of denominations that permit it. That won't be a huge number for a long time.
