And God allows homosexuality in all societies and even in the animal kingdom. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with free will. What? You think that you are only allowed to act on your sexual nature because you happen to be heterosexual? Why should homosexuals, who are created by God, not be free to act, not only on their sexual nature, but to develop life long, loving, lasting, and monogamous relationships as well?

Quite frankly, your nose would be much better off attending to what goes on in your own bedroom and less so what goes on in anyone elses. I believe God has directed you not to judge, as well, has He not? Your religious beliefs are there to govern your behavior, no one else's.

But we are getting off topic again. We are moving one step closer in the granting of equal rights to ALL people. That is a good thing no matter what your religious beliefs are. Because as long as they have equal rights, you are not going to loose your equal rights.

People that believe that they need to save everyone from their amoral character usually need to take care of their own issues first.:cool2:

God allows many things that He doesn't approve of. That doesn't make them right. His creation started out perfect but once sin entered the world, it effected His creation in a negative way, increasing with each passing generation.

No. Even heterosexuals aren't supposed to act on their sexual natures outside of what God ordains. People aren't animals; they can control their actions.

Why should homosexuals, who are created by God, not be free to act, not only on their sexual nature, but to develop life long, loving, lasting, and monogamous relationships as well?

God created Adam and Eve perfectly. They were the only humans that were specially created. All other humans were conceived. They developed imperfectly because of Adam's sin. The effects of Adam sin have been passed down to each succeeding generation. That, combined with society's misdirection, leads to the world we have now.

I'm not into anyone's bedroom. This thread was about the laws pertaining to marriage. That's public activity, not private.

God tells us not to judge people's hearts but He does require us to judge actions. His only stipulation is that if we do judge others, we should expect to be judged by others in return, in accordance with His statutes.

As far as I know, if a topic is posted at AD, we don't all have the same viewpoints on said topic. If some ADers want to post kudos about chaplains performing same sex weddings, it should be expected that other ADers might post disappointment about same sex weddings.

The pro-wedding people post their reasons, and the anti-wedding people post their reasons. That's the way it goes.

People don't need to be saved from their amoral character. They need to be saved from the eternal consequences of their behavior. Freedom from sin's control is one of the benefits that results.

People who don't believe they need salvation sometimes have difficulty with pride.

And you are free to apply that to yourself, and yourself only. If anyone else feels the need to be saved from the eternal consequences of their behavior, they know where to seek it out. Otherwise, it is not for you nor any doctrine you can cite. That isn't your job. Their behavior may not be as damning as you seem to think it is when the final tally comes down. It may be those that attempted to present themselves as holier than thou that get the harshest judgement.

All you know of God's approval or non-approval is what another human being has communicated to you. Including that which is written, and then interpreted 100's of times over.
