That's true. I consider lesbians part of the feminist community though.
Agreed. But they are still women.

Ummm, lesbians are feminists because they like all things female.
I know the handshake AND the code word.
but seriously.....while most feminists may be Lesbians that does not necessarily mean most lesbians are feminists. And as I said I think the second is mostly stereotype.....and I am in a position to at least make an educated guess on that. I have a pretty large sample in my circle.
God is right.
God allows us to have free will. He doesn't force anyone to do or not do anything. If He stopped sinners against their will, that would include you and me. Do you want God to prevent you from sinning against your will?
And this is why we can't discuss religion on AD. That same passage instructs men to love their wife like Christ loved the church..... There is no justification for a man beating his wife. In fact a man is instructed to lay down his life for his wife.
But we are getting off topic again. We are moving one step closer in the granting of equal rights to ALL people. That is a good thing no matter what your religious beliefs are. Because as long as they have equal rights, you are not going to loose your equal rights.
But, but... we need to save the gays from themselves! Without proper role models, everything goes to pots!
Most feminists may be Lesbians?
That statement alone shows you have no idea what you are talking about and have just, unknowingly, exhibited your prejudices for all to see.
Yeah, and a lot of wife beaters claim that they would do that, and their undying love is behind their abuse. Get a grip.
God allows many things that He doesn't approve of. That doesn't make them right. His creation started out perfect but once sin entered the world, it effected His creation in a negative way, increasing with each passing generation. And God allows homosexuality in all societies and even in the animal kingdom.
No. Even heterosexuals aren't supposed to act on their sexual natures outside of what God ordains. People aren't animals; they can control their actions.Sexual orientation has nothing to do with free will. What? You think that you are only allowed to act on your sexual nature because you happen to be heterosexual?
God created Adam and Eve perfectly. They were the only humans that were specially created. All other humans were conceived. They developed imperfectly because of Adam's sin. The effects of Adam sin have been passed down to each succeeding generation. That, combined with society's misdirection, leads to the world we have now.Why should homosexuals, who are created by God, not be free to act, not only on their sexual nature, but to develop life long, loving, lasting, and monogamous relationships as well?
I'm not into anyone's bedroom. This thread was about the laws pertaining to marriage. That's public activity, not private.Quite frankly, your nose would be much better off attending to what goes on in your own bedroom and less so what goes on in anyone elses. I believe God has directed you not to judge, as well, has He not? Your religious beliefs are there to govern your behavior, no one else's.
People don't need to be saved from their amoral character. They need to be saved from the eternal consequences of their behavior. Freedom from sin's control is one of the benefits that results.People that believe that they need to save everyone from their amoral character usually need to take care of their own issues first.
That might be good advice for you..... I made no comment on wife beaters....just completed the passage. You seem to have trouble reading today.

People who don't believe they need salvation sometimes have difficulty with pride.

God tells us not to judge people's hearts but He does require us to judge actions. His only stipulation is that if we do judge others, we should expect to be judged by others in return, in accordance with His statutes.
As far as I know, if a topic is posted at AD, we don't all have the same viewpoints on said topic. If some ADers want to post kudos about chaplains performing same sex weddings, it should be expected that other ADers might post disappointment about same sex weddings.
The pro-wedding people post their reasons, and the anti-wedding people post their reasons. That's the way it goes.
Look at the Republican nominees for President. Almost all had multiple wives except for Mitt Romney, and he's a Mormon. Hah.
All you know of God's approval or non-approval is what another human being has communicated to you. Including that which is written, and then interpreted 100's of times over.
THIS is the reason why I don't go to church.
