Not everything that is "normal" or "natural" or "common" is always good in every circumstance, with every individual.
Just because a behavior is "natural" doesn't mean it should be done or encouraged. There has to be a better reason than just because some people call it "normal".
Some shame is beneficial. It prevents people from repeating bad behaviors. That's a big problem with kids' bad behavior now. No one is ashamed of anything. No one is embarrassed when they are punished for wrong doing.
People should have feelings of modesty and humility. Why is it necessary to let everything (literally and figuratively) all hang out? What's wrong with a little mystery and privacy?
I'm probably in the minority here but that's not important. Life isn't a popularity contest.
You can show off whatever you want in your own home. Please just don't sit your bare butts down on any chairs that I might use. Yeck!
