Eh. Two things. Europeans view nudity much differently than Americans do. Also, I think we need to apply different "rules" for children. Reba is right. We need to teach our kids about modesty and the importance of privacy as oppose to something else. You can teach your child to respect his or her body just as easily without giving them the message that "taking it off" is okay, because what is fine for adults is not fine for children.

Really?

Did you read the link what Americans's view of nudity between the parents and their children? Alot of American's view that parents show their naked body front of their children is a natural.

There're over 160 American comments what they are disagreed with Expert's view over hide their naked from their children.

Of course I teach my children to respect their body. I teach them to positive their bodies. My children knows their limit.

I believe the children need to know certain parts and what they are. It's better for the kids learn from their parents than from someone else.

Alot of Americans where I work with told me that Americans should take the example of Europeans's view because the parents should open their mind when the children come to you for the sexual questions :dunno:
 
I will not allowed my kids to watch me when I naked and I have to teach them how to safe sex and peroid.

I might make a thread that combines both issues that I was encountering recently. I think it is important for kids to be comfortable with their nudity and with their parents as well. if The parents got upset at kids for "peeking" then that is just wrong because then you instill fear and teach your kids the "taboos" about breasts, penis, etc which that they will eventually FACE in their future and you gave them a bad impression.

I want to educate people that are already parents, or will like to have children some day... because the whole "fear" about sex has got too far in America. I have to do the job that my 30-yr-old brother and his ex-wife were supposed to do with their 8-year-old daughter... and I am only 19 years old!

Nudity is NOTHING. Why are you getting SO upset about it? Why are you promoting the wrong assoication of sexuality to nudity? Nudity is natural. If you are associating sex to nudity, then all kids will be ashamed to walk around in their swimsuits because there is only a SHEET of fabric that protect them from S-E-X.
 
there is public shower i grew up going there with my mom and sister seen others :aw:

now i have 2 daughters of 5 and will be 2 this dec seen me shower and dressed, well, in hurry

i accidently saw my dad once in my life..
my husband used in tub ok with him girls around but now older daughter better not seen cuz she has drawed penis when she drawed family i got embarassed but teacher didnt call me for meeting but i have explained to her not do again (not want school they may think dad molested her) :/

have anyone happened? what would u make them out about drawing penis or pubic/boobs???

That is interesting, because I did discuss about young children drawing out sex. Being an open-minded person, I don't mind children knowing about human anatomy or basic notion of what sex is but sometime it is distrubing when the kids twist the information about our genital organs and sex and got confused and put themselves at risk... I tried to make a thread that combined this one-- the comfortness of naturally nudity and the topic of sex... but I backed out because some members here were too immature and I ended up asking the moderator to remove my post about whether it is okay for kids to draw penis and whatnot. I guess this is my cue to step in again and try to talk about it again.

I am alarmed that many people respond rashly when their children draw naked people. Com'ON! Don't punish them for being curious. It is such a SHAME that parents are forcing their kids to fear their OWN bodies and their future partners' bodies! How could you make them feeling comfortable to have a healthy and fruitful relationship if you condemn the very organs that lead to a "fruitful" marriage?? I do understand there are some lines to draw upon when it comes to kids and sex. I did encounter that line recently with my niece.

thank you freewoman for pushing me to post my thread. I really am bothered when schools made it a HUGE deal if a child draws a mere penis. Again, it will be an entire different story if it is drawn in an erotica position... Still, the school is advocating the self-hatred of children's own bodies. Shame shame.

No, it's not sexual or porno drawing what your children did but out of nature. It's normal for the children to draw boobs, penis, etc.

As what you said that your teacher didn't call you for the meeting because she/he know that it's not sexual abuse. They would call you for the meeting if the children's drawing shows sign of sexual abuse like this "wolf with shape teeth and little girl or boy" & miserable sign of drawing and reconizge children's behavior and get the answer from them etc.

I remember when I was a little girl and saw my Dad by accident. It shock me because I never saw it in my life. I got spanked from my Dad after saw me draw boobs, penis etc. I really has no idea why I got spanked from him and didn't know why I should not draw boobs, penis etc. My teacher taught us why we have boobs, penis, etc. She let us draw the nudist bodies. It's not sexual abuse but learn the body what we have. That taught us to open mind abour our bodies.

My children grew up in nudity family (in the house). We are naked to go to bathroom to have shower, dressing, etc. My children (12 & 9) are still naked front of us and we do the same, too. We are open mind and doesnt make fun of our naked bodies... It's natural to them.

The children would make fun of you if you hide too much from them because they see it for a first time.

I remember when i was little i didnt know that sign language was something nude sign i was saying and my dad spanked me, now older daughter drawed i didnt spank cuz i understod my feeling before, just talk to her, explain to her, i feel much better she would trust telling me/sharing with me :aw: i agree with Liebling and Gnar feel free to share with kids they would the same way do us

i do hide of my body and also nude sometime nude if i forget my bra and pantry from my room get clothes on.

if i got married i would get nude it how mine is and my boyfriend's

if i have children i wont let my kids see me no clothing or my boyfriend,husband that my rules but must have privates cover to get like as robe or clothes on before kids says come in! what your posts says im not joking.
 
Yes I do think it's normal for little kids to see parents while are naked. I shower with my mom and dad when I was little, but I don't think it's normal for parents to show their naked body to teenagers or even shower together. Some people was so shocked that Japan families usually shower together, but really we are doing it too! Sometimes I wish I was born and raised in Japan where it won't bother for me to go in a hot spa with my dad or brother naked. It makes me feel more closer to my families.

Geezum..lol, It is normal for little kids under 5 years old to see me naked.
When my kids get older, they get their own privacy. I wear t-shirt and underwear, so I walk around. My kids don't mind and don't pay attention at all.

My both sons are teenagers. We are still naked front of us... It's Europeans type... We did not shame of our bodies... - we are family in household... *shrug*

have to becareful whatever you do. Bec now in days, people getting hype about this. Many are sex offenders are like this thread. It is illegal here in USA. If get caught, it will happen. I know it is sickening to hear that and gone over the line. As for me personally, it is normal in family way, but there are some gone to far. But most, isnt. Im not against that. Tho, whats funny and embarrassed was, my ex wife thought the door was unlock, when my oldest was like 3 or 4 yrs old i think, not sure maybe 5. When we were making love, we have not noticed that my daughter's head was like peeping beside our bed watching and suddenly she tapped me, we just flew out apart and embarrassed then asking us, what are we doing? we are like, um um ummm. It does happen sometimes. I dont see anything wrong with that as long it is appropriate. but becareful in someway, bec today all the media promote all the sickening happen to the kids went out of control, whether you do it innocent way, law will careless and stuff you down your throat. Bec I have been told with lot of people been going thru this and it is ridiculous. We are not like uum, old days as appropriate mind and views. Today, it is going overboard, Shock, and reported to the police with paranoia hype. Sad, isnt it?

My 10 and 8 years old Aussie niece and nephew still share a shower with their Parents to save water!!!! Lol - seriously!!!
