I was attacked at McDonald's today

Yikes!

Dang, Shel...I am glad you had the presence of mind to do what you did, especially with a child to protect. I have had a few "encounters" but never with a child, and my blood runs cold, lol. But do not forget...It is not your fault. You get a pack on your back here. Good job!

wow, im glad that you're safe now.

you're not only one, i've been through like that when i was animal control officer. some of owners are threat at me and trying to bully me up because of my Deaf. It doesnt matter but i stood up and ready to protect myself. Ah well. Always tough for me to work as officier. Aint fun.

OMG Glad that you are ok shel! Wow in Pikesville huh..I know where you are talking about but this is outrageous i can't believe some ppl. Glad that you and your son are ok!

Shel, I am glad you and your son are safe. That's a scary situation glad you remained calm and level headed through it all. You did the right thing to report this woman , who knows what she could have done.

She will also get charges pressed against her for assaulting a police officer. Man, if I didnt remove myself from the situation like I did, would she have gotten physical with me? If I was alone, I could take her over easily since she was like 5'1 , 100 lbs and I am 5'7 and a lot bigger but with my son there..no fucking way!

I'm amazed. :eek3: I applaud you for a very smart action that you took immediately.. something that not many people do. Your primary concern and action was - SECURE YOUR CHILD FIRST! Many people in your case would always question the situation such as - "what's your problem? what are you doing?" NO NO NO! "Secure first, ask later"

Damn I think that stupid lady was having a road rage.

shelly, glad you both are okay. how frightening for you. how's nathan and your leg?
Anyone experience that? The mind does amazing things..wow!
yeah, experienced that and it does, ALWAYS remain calm...no matter what. unless someone's going to hurt you. (thanks to SCIP training at my job - what to do with consumers at a group home too).

Shel,

My goodness! Talk about an overreaction on that woman's behalf! I'm so glad you are safe and were able to press charges. <hugs>

Oh my gosh! That's dreadful. Glad the police came immediately and cuffed her.
Hope you and Nathan are ok.

Oh boy! Must be a quite experience for you but we're glad for you and your son. Maybe she had a road rage before parked there... duh.

At least she deserved being arrested and charged.

Ought to avoid this McD place who knows but I would.

I never experience one like yours but probable close once years ago when an old man hitting his old van onto my SUV leaving a scratch at a plaza parking lot. I was quite angry but after spotted his awful behavior like a real-time crook so I decided to back off and let it go for the peace sake.

She have her own issue and she put it to another people to make things worse.

Wow, your lucky...

It happened to me once; I was driving and I just moved my car in other lane in the freeway but, I assumed that man got mad at me for cut him off since he's very speeding up which I was only going 75 mph that freeway. Somehow, he caught up with me and started yelling at me with his hands, I was puzzled and saw him swearing at me and yelled at me with his expression face, I could tel that hes very anger with me so I was focus on the road and ingored him, but he kept move around my car with his car to making anything to cause me to getting in car accident, I told myself to be calm down calm down until he got behind up me and I decided to speed up to around 100 mph as I could but he did chase after me, I just continue speed up until I saw policeman and I pray for him to comup to me because I went 100 mph but policeman did chase after me for speed up but that man ran off so policeman pulled me over, i explained to him what happened in the note even I did give my time to write down that man's license plate and what kind car and etc like that, he thank me for that and I don't know what happened to that man when I told policeman. so Im safe... That is really scared me to death.

First time I have had this serious of a problem since moving to MD in 99. No problems in DC or Baltimore until now.

Everyone else, thanks! I went to my neighbor's and chilled with her to get my mind off. I am ok.

My leg is a little sore...checked it..no marks. Nathan wasnt scared cuz I didnt act scared. He was looking at the lady like "WTF?" LOL!

I forgot to mention..the lady's car looked like she was hoarding stuff in it. The more I think about it, I'll bet she was living out of her car and I "invaded" her space. Homeless people are very anal about their "space" or so what I have read.

damn I'm glad you and your son is doing well... yeah I think some people who have mental problems probably want to fight for no reason...well just keep your eye open for anything that wud happen to you again but once again.. good thing it's in public if it was in alley yikes... ;) good job u had trained to stay calm in the situation like that.. ;)

Good thing you're ok.

The lady must have been on drugs. I had to deal with someone similar to this lady once. She was passed out in between my car and another car and I yelled at her to move. The next morning, her b/f or husband or whoever decided to key my car. Bastards.

Yikes, Shel.

Well, I'm glad to see things worked out on your favor in the end. It's a good thing you remained calm through the entire incident. Having a level head always pays off in the end. :)

We should start a club Shel and call it the "Attacked outside of Retail Establishments" club or something.
