I don't know where that was but in Charleston they have designated pet-friendly shelters. People had plenty of time to get their pets and take them with them. They've been warned for several days.I saw on the news that a lot of pets were left behind and they be rescue and will go up for adoption . It too bad the shelters won't give people time to go get their pets . Animals do take flight when frighten and their owners don't have time to look for their pets.
I not sure which state this was in , I miss part of the story . I am glad the pets was rescues . I will try to find the story on line .I don't know where that was but in Charleston they have designated pet-friendly shelters. People had plenty of time to get their pets and take them with them. Oh, that's totally different. Those were dogs and cats that were already in Charleston animal shelters, that for safety were moved to other shelters out of state where they can be adopted.http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2016/...cane-matthews-path-coming-to-md-for-adoption/
Here is the story the CC doesn't always say what being reported , the pets were waiting for adoption , and had to be moved .
To where?
Not a friendly welcome to Florida. They evacuated to Clearwater where his wife's uncle lives. They are staying with him. I hope he has a home to come back to. They just moved to Florida from MD 2 months ago. Geez
We live just north of Charleston.Reba, do you live in Charleston? I know you live in the Carolinas but couldnt remember.....The eye is gonna hit Charleston.
My brother's hometown, St. Augustine, seems to be seriously flooded. He is still in Clearwater so I dont know the condition of his home in St. Augustine. Yikes!
For some of the "unadoptable" animals at our animal shelter they went to local "foster" families instead. We have a "no kill" shelter.Any pets that are adoptable usually relocate to different shelters if they have to evacuate from shelter in coastal regions.
Any pets that are not adoptable due to health/behavior issues or too dangerous so they may speed up the euthanasia, but if not possible so they have move to other shelter to keep dangerous animals out of public.
Yeah the CC didn't pick up everything that was said on the news, this been happening a lot while watching about the hurricane and I missed the first part the story .Oh, that's totally different. Those were dogs and cats that were already in Charleston animal shelters, that for safety were moved to other shelters out of state where they can be adopted.
