Ike no longer a threat to FL

As of right now, Hurricane Ike is no longer a threat for the FL Keys. Instead of veering NW and going the full length of the island, it stayed west and cut across Cuba. It weakened down to a Cat 2 hurricane, but it is predicted that the storm will strengthen again once it goes back over open water. Ike will likely hit the US some time in the coming days.

Still an early forecast so wait n see till Thursday so we will know for sure yet it looks much like going as predicted, however. I hope so! lol

Once it moves into the Gulf, it's gotta hit someone; most likely someone in the US. I feel confident in saying that right now.
 
it is good that Ike is weakening but never know when he will strenghten again

A hurricane needs water to fuel it. As soon as Ike moves over the open waters of the Gulf, it will strengthen again. The weather channel is saying that it will probably hit the Lousiana-Texas border as a category 3 storm later this week; towards the weekend.

Florida canceled an evacuation order from its Keys on Monday as Ike moved further south, but urged tourists to stay away until Wednesday. After passing into the Gulf of Mexico, forecasters said Ike could hit land over the weekend near the Texas-Louisiana border, possibly not far from Houston.

I can't find a circumstance that'll impact "Ranch Crawford" to the extent of Katrina.

I pray for the best for everyone affected.
 
Ike is suppose to hit houston today or tomorrow..so a lot of evacuees ( although now they are telling people to stay put) are coming to austin... ahhh!
 
Just grab ahold of fat people in Texas. I'm sure they're harder to blow away unless Ike's a number 5.

i hunt pics of IKE hurricanes you wont believe that! and will hit Houston,Tx and Galveston,Tx also but im not sure what else more hit city in Texas but im hope my cousins will be okay.

my cousin was at college in Austin,Texas and one of my cousin staying with his dad

With all due respect Sara, we don't want to see pictures of destruction. I have seen the damage a 110mph hurricane can do. It's heartbreaking.
