How many gym rats do we have here?

I think it all came from you said to me in the first place.

Mind you I don't really give half a crap about what you said now when I cleared it up, but we're going in circles here?

Ah....an assumption.....because the words are clearly written.

Ah....an assumption.....because the words are clearly written.

Well, not really much to say. All I have to ponder about is TXgolfer somehow thought I was female.

Not sure where that came from because it was definitely way out from the field.

Oh that is easy to explain.... I asked because I didn't know. Add to that you posted that you did a 200 lb deadlift. Which would be fairly impressive for a female. And worthy of a praise. They even have a 200 lb deadlift club for women.

But it would have been wrong for me to assume you were female. And I would have looked bad if I said "Good job....not many women can do that" So I asked since I have no idea. Too sensitive me thinks. This is supposed to be a friendly thread. It helps to know who is who when you are being friendly.

No harm :)

I wasn't looking for your praise, if you noted the bottom half of the sentence you quoted. I said I don't do weights to an extreme anymore.

I was merely replying to kokonut's press then you rebutted into it for some reason which seemed to take a particular penchant towards whatever you wanted to ask with your questions.

I apologize that you were looking more into it than I was, and the rest for the token of your time.

Thanks for sharing @ women doing 200lb dead lifts. I'm sure there are more as well as men who put them up.

.

No you didn't ask for praise...... And Koko didn't ask for yours. Again I think you are a little to sensitive. It was a simple question in a friendly thread.

Again....no harm intended :)

 what's up with all this directing the posts towards me?
I simply replied to kokonut's post which he put here for everyone to see, then now you're onto me on my post about it.

Jeebus, it's like I have to watch what I say around people.

Are you female??? Just curious since I have no idea who you are

I am back in the gym again after the accident.... Doing double time to make up for the lost month..

Thinking about fighting this winter.....If Herschel can do it....so can I. And I KNOW I can kick the snot out of Jose Canseco

Not a clue who you are. What's up?

UFC, MMA has shown it's not about the size. That is old timer cultural stipulations, it's phasing out..

Big burly "weight champs" get taken down by little monkeys all the time. Skill always beats size and strength. Roy Gracie is a perfect example of this.

If you think it's all about strength to win, Bruce Lee would make you laughing stock even if you could bench 1000 pounds.

Above....our first 2 posts each. Who is getting on to whom???

I am not getting on to you. Merely defending the innocence of my question. That's why I posted "no harm"

Back on topic.....Yes I am a gym rat and I am happy to be back at it after my accident.

Just a question......You and your posts kinda appeared out of nowhere....Good to know who you are talking to sometimes

Hey! Naisho has been around a long time. Lots of us know him, and he is under the protection of Bottesini! :cool2:

As is Kokonut.

No deaf targets!! :mad2:

:) :P Forgot these symbols to let you know I didn't really want a physical fight.

Thanks, me neither. It would be great if this pointless discussion could cease, stopped going on it long ago.

I see that from the number of posts......Just new to me. A few others commented in another thread that they did not know him.....can't remember who I don't think he needs any protecting.....It was a get to know you question in a friendly thread.... Never any harm intended.

People are awful touchy....must be the heat.

Well, deadlifting up to 200lbs is not exactly going to the "extreme." It's really an achievable goal for many men. Getting up to 500lb is getting to the extreme part. Flipping a 1,000 lb tire is getting to the extreme part. Bench pressing 600lb is going into the extreme for a man, and I know what 600lbs feels like being in that position, too. Being able to tear a phone book in half is going to extreme (and no, I can't do that). You just have that raw power or strength to do the job. So, doing a 200lb deadlift is not going into extreme unless you've never worked out and are attempting to do it for the first time, yeah, that's going into the extreme...and a looking for a way to get to a hospital.

If you put a person of UFC caliber weighing in at 180 versus a guy, probably a little taller, at 240 lbs who is also of the same caliber, I'd say the heavier guy probably have a bit of an advantage over the smaller guy. If you're talking about experienced versus inexperienced situations, sure. However, I think it's skill and experience are what sets a person apart from everybody else.

I'd say little guy probably have quite a bit of an advantage over big guy. it's all about mobility. equal skill yes but equal speed? nope. it defies physics. small one is always the fastest and efficient.

whoaaa just finished reading this thread. testosterone level on high in here!

*throw a bucket of cold water at ya'all*

Alright, maybe I took too quickly that you were onto my case. I am cautious of what is going on here at times, something that happened last year contributes big time to that.

At any rate I apologize for any bashing I may have inadvertently caused. I had thought that your replies were really rebuttals, I read them wrong.

:sadwave:

Treaty of txgolfer-naisho (2010)?

Yea, I went to the Cardiologist on Wednesday and I have a minor heart condition. I forgot what it was called...ha!

I really hope it's nothing major! I work in a hospital geared towards heart stuff and I see all kinds of things. Take care of yourself. Exercise, but not too hard! :)

Oh, you just found out that you had a minor heart condition at your current age?

So, I know few people who have a minor heart condition, of course everyone have many different kind of conditions they are in. all i know they can work out in a moderate time.

glad you are doing alright at least.
