I also feel down, but for different reasons:
1) I just came back from a vacation in Greece and I didn't want to leave.
2) Long day at work after being SO jetlagged.
3) Lost my camera on the very last day in Greece, losing over 600 beautiful pictures I took. (I am currently calling places to see if they can find it, but chances are slim.)
At least my cat, Barnaby, is cheering me up.
I have a devil of a toothache right now. I ate pizza for dinner and think I may have irritated a tooth, so it looks like I'll be headed to the dentist first thing tomorrow. Hear Again, who HATES going to the dentist.![]()
I don't like going to dentist either.... with all these uncomfortable tools in your mouth![]()
Yep. Going to the dentist brings back painful memories of when I used to wear braces as a teenager. I had a cranky orthodontist who always used to lecture me on keeping my braces clean even though that was next to impossible given how difficult it is to brush thoroughly between them. He also used to tighten my braces so much that I'd have a headache for days.
Fortunately, the dentist I have now is wonderful. He's very nice and always takes the time to explain what he's doing. He's not rough in what he does either. I think I may ask to have my tooth pulled if he can't put in a filling. I think it may be chipped, but I don't know for sure. It just hurts like hell.
By the way, I took some Extra Strength Excedrin, but it only helped the pain for a short period of time.
When I go to bed, I may have to knock myself out with a higher dose of my sleep med just to get some sleep.
if it's chipped - they'll simply cement it with something to repair it. I chipped a couple of my teeth. My ex is the dentist and she repaired my chipped tooth last year. no problem.
I have a tendency to grind my teeth in sleep. oh well.....
How well does the cement stay in place? If that's all they will do, I'll keep the tooth.
a new technique, I believe - she put the paste on my chipped tooth and then used the UV gun to solidify it. Initially, it will feel funny and it's a noticeable feeling but over time, it will be naturally grind away to smoother, unnoticeable way.
I don't think you should remove it just cuz it's feeling painful. Maybe it's just inflamed.
I ran my tongue over the tooth that's irritated and it isn't chipped. I don't know what my dentist can do about it though. Perhaps I'll have to buy some Orajel for the pain.
