You are new. They took time warming up to me, too. Just be patient, and they will to you, as well, but bitching about it is NOT the way to get on our good side. You have to interact a little more, and get to know us. I'm still learning new members and members who have been here a while; this is just my 4th month, but I wouldn't say that I have earned everyone's trust yet-- I still have work to do.

I'm not a new at AD. I have been in AD since 2008. I left AD for two years because I was so busy being a mommy of 4 years old son. I'm back to AD last week ago. I changed my email address with new username from old username was Pinky. :)

2008? That was long before I even showed up here. And your changing your user name might explain why no one has answered, maybe? And my apologies. I had no idea. Peace.

I'm feeling peppy and wired up! I shouldn't have drank this caffeinated beverage. Looks like I'm gonna be up for a while lol

It is okay. No problem. You're new here since Nov 2013. You are from in Chicago. My deaf friends are from in Chicago. I am from in Indiana. Nice to meet you. :)

I originally was born in Southern IL, and moved to the greater Chicago area in 2000. Haven't left since then, cause I love it here-- wouldn't change it for anything. :P

Completely deaf in my right ear, about 45% in my left. Used to be 51%, but has been slowly going away. It won't be too many years before I am permanently deaf-- it's expected.

 Pinky! long time no see! I understand. I don't drink soda that much now days. I used to drink it all the time. I was seriously addictive to soda - drank it 24/7. It was HARD to adjust to this new habit. I'm getting better at that, progressively. Now, it's down to one or two glass of Coke or Dr Pepper once a week. Today, I was craving for it and should have took it earlier in the day instead of taking it an hour ago. Oh well, I'll live lol

I felt like rejected and ignoreed from AD members for not post a comments on my new threads. If they are continue ignore my new threads and not going to create threads again.

Aww, don't worry. Don't expect them to comment on your threads. Sometime they will read your thread but don't comment. Just don't let it bother you. There are better things to do than to get upset about why AD members aren't commenting on your threads. :)

 Jolie. That is good to see you guys again. You can try drink plenty of water. You have to cut on amount of pop slow down until you break the habit. I know that is not good for health and could lead to diabetic. I had a bad cavity and decay damaged next to wisdom tooth by my ex oral surgery messed up my side wisdom teeth after pulled out. I had experience with toothache for one year and went to new dentist to filled up a new white layers to see it is work or not. I continued drink Mountain Dew. It killed my one root canal. I quit soda for good. I took one tooth pull out and no more painful so far.

It is alright. No problem. Give you a

Yeah, it is. Funny thing is, I was born completely hearing, but lost it at 15 months old, and have been this way ever since then. Now, my right ear wasn't always completely deaf-- I lost all hearing in it a few years ago, but before I did, I could FEEL certain sounds-- not hear, but feel them. Like a train horn, for example-- that's loud enough for my right ear to detect, and my eardrum to vibrate, but that is no longer the case-- it has gone completely silent. As for my left, I can still hear sounds fairly well, but voices on the other hand, is a different story-- I have to cup my left ear to be able to hear what's being said. I used to wear a hearing aide, but the sound level here in Chicago were too much, and ever since I quit wearing one, things have gotten better, but I am still exposed to loud sounds, especially on Clark, where emergency vehicles go by all the time. The last sound I want to hear is a train horn blaring, and I had the misfortune to do just that a few weeks ago-- left my ear ringing.

That is interesting, I was born with profoundly deaf with retinitis pigmentosa from in my generic rare disorder. I got first bilateral hearing aids at 2 years old. I felt struggling to wear them. I didn't like the earmolds to bother my ears. I hid it in somewhere. LoL. I wore hearing aids at mainstream school until I went to Deaf school at ten years old. I don't wear these hearing aids because it didn't help me. In 8 grader and senior years decide to wear hearing aids again. I was not happy with them. In 2004, I decided to research for CI at online. I joined to AD in 2008 related to CI & HA debate on the forum. I decided to join there to get learn from other CI user experiences. It made me consider to get one for myself. I'm happy to hear the music for first time, new sound enivirments and etc.
:)

Super exhausted in spite of sleeping all night. Hubby says I did not sleep well and Piper alerted to my breathing not being right.

Paranoid: the trucks are out to get us :) We are out running errands and as go through a construction zone a packing truck sharply crosses both lanes, and trys to put his truck on our ties...this is a bad time to find out your van is mute. Then a pepsi truck runs a red and another jumps lanes...so does my van have a target on on it or what :)

I totally empathize with you. :)

I finally figured out why my new tablet was behaving the way it was before. It should be okay now. At least that's what I'm hoping. :|
