everyone has access. go and use it. :)

I have read it. But I don't like when people claim things but are unwilling to share the information from which they are drawing. I don't like when Jillio does it, I don't like when you do it.

Per the clinic, the patient was unresponsive to stimulation due to a migration of the electrode array, resulting in the decision to explant the device. The device was explanted (b)(6), 2010, and the patient was reimplanted with a new device during the same surgery.

If anyone watched the full 20 minutes of the Youtube videos on a CI surgery... You will notice they "stuff in" your fat to hold the electrode in place which causes my lack of amazement that it migrated to another place and stopped working.

Why challenge me to provide a source when you know it is valid.

Thanks for validating what I've been saying here though. :)

I don't believe the number you are saying. I know there is an FDA website that tracks all implant issues, but I do not believe there have been 500 explants in 5 months.

so disprove him with FDA data.

Stuff in the fat? I will have to read up on that. Interesting.

Yeah, it was in the video that i watched for the 20 full minutes.. Hmm Lets seee

pretty graphic....
check it out at 3:00 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0Z3eKNw2vc[/ame]

edit -- i dont even see anywhere you can tie the electrode on...

These are interesting facts.

Nice to know that fat is being put in good use instead of causing diabetics, heart problems, and etc.

Really... With these 500 reports in the past 5 months...

It just shows me that the numbers in the CI circle are pretty skewed. :)

I'm done.

Per the clinic, the patient experienced an infection (type not reported) resulting in revision surgery to clean the wound and treat the infection. It was further reported that during the revision surgery, the ground electrode was broken. The implanted device remains.

Not an explanation, but wow... 499 out of 500 reports now. but dang..

*shudder*

I didn't click on it and just saw a picture right there. That's sufficent for me to know about the hole.
