 It looks like we are going to have a intense heat wave here. There could be a few spots of 100s, too. This is the forecast for Seattle. It's possible that it will be 105 to 110s in East WA in the hottest spots.

I am expecting the 100's in August, which I am not very excited because my house have no AC :(

What heat wave?

The weather here in South Texas can be best described as 'sweltering' or 'inferno'. This summer could be a record breaker. We've had 25 triple-digit days already and it's only July. For the 4th, we had a record high (103) and a record high low (78). That's the actual air temp, not the heat index. The heat index is still in the 90's at 10pm. Traditionally August and September are even hotter. I'll take a few days of 100's instead of 30-40 (maybe more).

If the weather wasn't bad enough, we're also in one of the worst droughts since they started keeping records. The local aquifer is twenty feet below its average and San Antonio is in Stage 2 restrictions. We could use some of that soggy stuff that Seattle is known for.

Nope, try borrowing it from Amazon Rainforest or the soggy India during the monsoon seasons. It's normally dry here in summer, but it is drier than normal around here and haven't had more than 0.50 inch of rain since more than 2 months.

It IS a heatwave for here.

P.S. The all time record high for Seattle is 100 on July 1994.

Yeah I can see that too, the climate is changing around here.

Just beg to government to give window unit AC for your home.

j/k

Haha, I don't need the AC because the fall and springs are not that hot or cold, only winter I use the heat. I have some fans around my house to keep me cool or I just go out swimming in our cool lakes or rivers in my area! ;)

Save the electric, why not.

I'm expect about heatwave in northwest US is no worse than in southern US, I'm really hate summer weather in southern US and got sweat on my back.

I got idea, if you are too hot due heatwave then buy few strong fans to cool it up and you would need AC so very bad if you live in southern or midwest US.

Keep the heatwave up there for me will ya?

Yeah I know southern US are much more hotter than the northern.

And I will be fine, the heat in August sucks, but only a month pass :)

Yea, it's not often I see every houses I have visit in both Washington and north of Oregon, they hardly have AC system.

However, when it happen, just use fan and keep breeze to improve, at least.

Interesting!! Here Eastern... More Raining, Cool and Windy!!!

Make sure stay inside and cool.. drink lots of water! :thumb:

Having moved from New Mexico to Washington recently this May, this "heat wave" is nothing. Just be thankful that temperature drops to low 60s or upper 50s at night after a hot day.

The heat wave here is similar to Utah but lasts much longer over there. They get in the 90's high and low in the 60's. Yea, I like cooler nights after a hot day. :)

It was rather cool 67/55 today with clouds and a bit of breeze. It'll start warming up a bit tomorrow, I think.
