a child? good lord! why isn't that child placed in the system?
Only someone who has no idea how the system functions would even come up with a statement like that.

ok so you're saying other major city doesn't share similar issue? not one of them?
My words are very clear, Jiro. Read them.
who me? but I'm trying to get some direct answer. not a deflection.Stop trying to make them mean what you want them to and simply read what is written.
so educate us.

And about the people who seem to think being poor is a crime to be punished.
My dad had several homeless friends. They are Veteran, meaning they have access to the local VA hospital we have here. But some of them won't go because they don't like doctors.
Just saying they do have access, just that they are mentally sick that they don't want people make them go. Some homeless people are like that.Hospitals, VA or otherwise, are there to house sick people, not homeless people. You can't check into a hospital just because you are homeless.
It's tragic that veterans are one of the largest growing population groups joining the homeless. It's a national disgrace.
It has already been disputed, Jiro. You just don't seem to be capable of comprehending the words this evening.
My concern is not about winning some debate you think you have going. It is about the homeless families, individuals and children that are not able to access services in this country. And about the people who seem to think being poor is a crime to be punished.
At Charleston Crisis Ministries they have arrangements to shelter families together. Most shelter systems are set up so that you can't keep a family together. A mother and child must get into one shelter and the father must get into another shelter. That's one reason that living in a car may seem like a more viable option to families.
