Happy Meal Banned

Funniest thing in one video of a news reporting that looney regulation in SF was one legislature saying that it was possible to make a bag of carrots marketable to go with the Happy Meals.

Riiigght.

Really bunch of looney people out there. No wonder Kalifornia is going under. Moonbeam just now slapped on his super cape to the rescue just like he did the first time around reversing a surplus into a $6 billion dollar deficit during his stay. I guess that takes lots of skill to do that. LOL.

Organic food aren't known for their cheap way of growing in the agribusiness.

Now, is cheese a junk food? What about chicken? Ground beef? Tomatoes? Bread? Onions?

Depends on what is done to it before it is served to the public. In many cases, yes it is junk food.

Good question. While I am in favor of making it easier to get healthy food and on making sound nutritional knowledge avaliable to people , I stop at dictating what others eat.

Agreed. People will make their choices. If they choose to be unhealthy, then they choose. My concern is that they be given choices, and as we know, that does not always happen in the lower SES population.

Loonies "out there?"

What about a bunch of creationists demanding that creation be taught in science? That's looney. ID? Looney as well. Courts find them lying and considered them religious doctrine, not science and ruled that they cannot teach ID or creationism.

What about Alabama that banned sex toys? What about blue laws? What about ordinances requiring that beer can only have the maximum volume of alcohol? What about this one:

The State News : Four Loko, alcoholic energy drinks banned

San Diego banned SuperWalmart:

Wal Mart Supercenters Banned in San Diego | Planetizen

Get real.

And I would add...some of the stuff that can be dug up on the net regarding politics!

I don't know about you but I don't like Nanny-govt tell us what food we can or cannot eat by a bunch of overweight, sedentary hypocrites.

Wendy's and Burger King still offer toys with their kids' meals. Does this law cover them, too?

Yes. It's just a convenient term... everyone knows the "Happy Meal" but it does not just cover it, it also covers all fast food restaurants.

Religious? Yes. Loonies? No. Just because something is religion based that doesn't make it loony....[/QUOTE]

Simple. Sell the Happy Meals without the toys. And McDonald's can ask them, "Do want a toy to go with that for .10 cents more?"

Voila.

Thank you.

Tell that to people who made blue laws! They're dictating when and how you can buy items!

The Happy Meal ban is NOT stopping you from eating the usual, just no toy for you. Whine all you want. LOL!

I've already offered a simple solution to include toys with Happy Meals.

um, they ALREADY made it clear - if the happy meal meets their requirements, the toy can be included.

You didn't offer a simple solution, it's already there.

Then they will have to take the word "free" out of their advertisements. And, the toy is what makes it a "Happy Meal." Parents could just buy a hamburger, fries and drink for less than the Happy Meal would cost if they don't want a toy.

No. It comes separately.
