Hallelujah! The trees are coming down!

Where the trees there when you brought your house?

Have you made sure the members of your HOA have seen the article about the man that was killed? It may make them re-think some of their policies.

A big project! It's so nice you will have a lot of wood leftover for firewood, though. Do you have a fireplace or woodburning stove? (Sorry if you already mentioned it, I forgot.)

We have a wood burning stove.

It's not our HOA that has a policy--it's a town ordinance.

I had forgotten which it turns out. But . . . my point is still the same — make sure the decision makers know about this!

Yes, but 24 years ago they were much smaller.

I bet now you wish you had them removed before they got so big. I wonder people plant trees that can grow so tall right next to their home?

Boy these people had bad luck , they just brought their a year ago and a new car recently and the strong wind knocked a tree on house and car. The wind was 44 mph today when I took Marty out for his walk.

I have a property that got infested with cottonwood trees. These are exemplary examples of the species. Straight fast growing in all dimensions.
In a matter of a few short years they have turned into difficult nuisance trees. It is my fault for having put it off. I am glad you are getting your nuisances removed at last. You will both feel the weight leave your shoulders.

I forgot to put in the part where I am the neighbor from Hell now for that neighborhood. Whoa. That is weight. Guilt too. I am already crushed flatter than a dime on the railroad track so it is harder to do much.

We have tried for years to get permission to cut them down. This was the first time that we were granted permission.

Our trees weren't planted near the house. The trees were on the lot first. This area was a woods full of mature trees. The builders weren't allowed to cut them down, so they had to fit the houses in between the trees.

The trees are coming down now! The pine tree is first. It's like an army of men and equipment out front. TCS is taking pictures to post later. Every time a section of tree hits the ground the house shakes.

I came home the other day to find my neighbor's tree was 99% down. It was a huge oak tree. Another neighbor was sitting on a wagon nearby. I asked him if he was waiting to steal the lumber. Actually, most of the tree was already stacked in his back yard. :D He was just waiting for the rest of it.

Boy I much really be psychic , I thinking if Reba's trees where coming down soon.

The pine tree is gone; oak tree partially done, so far. Sawdust everywhere.

It's getting into your house too ? That would be a bummer.
No, just covering everything outside, front and back yards--like snow.

The guy sawing the last part of the oak stump just got sprayed by a lot of water from inside the tree. He said that's common with big oaks--they suck up a lot of water.

Funny, I just unloaded a truckload of limbs as I was cutting down that old silver magnolia by the shed to make more room for parking. My wife already hit it and damaged the side of the van a few weeks ago. Also taking out a the 2 box elders by the garden area as well if I can get a climber over here this weekend.

My monster oaks were still frozen in the middle when they cut them, it was like ice they said...lol

Just have the stump grinding left to do. The guy will do that this afternoon.

The oak (in huge sections) is piled up in our back yard. Later (not today) TCS will cut them into smaller logs, and later still, he'll split the logs for fire wood. It will be a lot of work.

Off topic, but your wife seems to be the worst driver in the world.
