Gun Control

Boxcutters generally could be considered more lethal as they're less visible and easier to conceal, much easier to take it anywhere than it would be for carrying a firearm. Boxcutters can do quite of a bit of considerable damage, even some firearms could splatter your guts or intestines outwardly with the kind of bullets that could do more physical harm, etc....

I used to carry a boxcutter all the time, as it was a valuable tool to use, nowadays, I'm more careful of where-ever I go to, and whether it's safe or not to be carrying it in my pockets, knowing that there is a different outlook or regard to boxcutters...which I do not intend to have others think differently for having it on me....

Exactly! Years ago, your typical terrorist hijacker would be some guy on an airplane with guns. Now, it's some guy with box cutters!

Exactly! But gee whiz, nowadays, some of these terrorists or hijackers aren't in a 'bang-bang' mood, but in a 'slashing and cutting' mood....(there ARE many other types of carrying out the crime itself) then again, it don't carry much of a hefty fine or penalty or number of years in prison as compared to firearms... :dunno: ...as I'm not quite sure what the law stipulates in relation to firearms and boxcutters/knifes...but don't it make logical sense that armed with firearms with a malicious intent carries a far more heavier sentence than in possession of a boxcutter/knife? Although, the 'act' of the crime itself would be imposed as the same when found guilty and sentenced....
