Wow, that is expensive! It will take me a few years to save up that much money. :Phow is about Garmin nuvi 660 ? my wife has it for her interpreter jobs. she loves it very much. it talks to u whenever there is bad traffic on roads and it can assist you to detour yourself. i know two other interpreters in atlanta have same type as my wife has. it is not cheap but it is worth to have it for the jobs. it costed 700 bucks from online shop includes 4 yrs warranty. it is the best investment in my opinion.
I also would like to be sure that it will show all the new streets in my area. I still have doubts about that. Is there some way I can check that before buying one? That is, can I try to search for an address on a Garmin at the store to see if it really works? I would hate to spend all that money and then find out that it still doesn't show all the streets.
For example, there is one neighborhood in the next town where I go about once a week, at night. I get lost there every time and end up driving in circles. I can't find it on any on-line or printed maps. The maps show the highway close to it but none of the neighborhood streets. The neighborhood has been there about one year.
