long story short, I was a child, almost a teenager, and my hearing four siblings and my parents agreed not to tell me what was going on in the old house. There were some noises in the basement and lots of things had been going on in the closet or voices in the living room. My house had "splitted", the rooms are upstair but you can see the living, dining, kitchen from down there the floor. Mom always knocked on the second floors in order to let me know if she needs me while i was in my room with the door and I could felt on the floor. One night, I was up so late, and watched on TV in my own room, around the midnight. I felt the three times of knocking on the floor. I was puzzled because mom was in her room and she could have opened the door and talk to me something like that. I thought it might be emergency because of the knocking on the floor pretty fast, three times. SO i opened the door, and the other rooms : diningroom, kitchen room, and living room are in the dark, no light on, no one were there. I checked my parents, and they were sleeping. i was like, "huh". My brother was sleeping, and the other three sisters were out. I checked everywhere from the front and back. So i went back to my room thinking that i must have imaged myself. Good enough, there were knocking on the floor while I was in my room again, and that was three times knocks. So i opened the door and still the same result. I closed the door and felt it agian right after i closed it. I opened the door. No one else in there. SO I closed the door and a few seconds later, there were knocks again. I did talk to someone in the air telling " don't you mind leaving me alone. i am trying to watch on tv if you need help write something for me" in signing in the air. lol. It stopped. wootz. The next morning, I told my mom about it and she was surprised and said, "are you kidding me?" i siad, " no i m not kidding." she finally told me as to why she was surprised that there were another ways of letting me know. " ghost is here or something like that". I am not surprised though. I had other issues too but it isn't relating with witnessing the ghosts. I had nightmares of the same person almost everyday for several years until I entered college. my dreams with the nightmare issues are gone since now. Except one time, someone in my dream showed up in my current home a few years ago. but someone has not returned it when i told someone to go back to 1970s and in my old town and wasn't belonging being in my current town.
They never had chance of finding out who the owners were. Also,we were from Long Island where there were lots of indians used to live around there before white people came and invade indians homes. Most of indians bodies were under the grounds after the battles years ago. I do not know if the ghost that relates with my dream BUT weird part I had a happy childhood , and knew it was only dreams. when i left the old house and my nightmares were gone.
