Im saying the people who videoed it lack the courage of their convictions, so they watched and videoed something they were opposed to or theu just wanted a vid to upload on the net for views.

Well, nobody was brave enough to intervene them for the fear that a person might get harmed. Can you understand that? For example, a mom and her children saw it, would you expect the mom to intervene? If she intervened and got harmed, would it be worth it? That's the reason they called cops who do their jobs that we pay for.

15 years is indeed excessive but yea... they rejected the plea bargain and opt for trial. there is always a high chance of getting maximum penalty if found guilty.

I too am surprised that they got 15 years but they can always appeal for it or get reduced sentence later on. they'll most likely get out in several months or couple years on probation.

As in some situations, it really happened. For example, a guy harassed a girl and you intervened him. He could have killed you after he went back to his car to get a gun. That's 50/50 probability.

BTW, did you read my previous post which was edited? Calif punishment for lewd acts (sex in public) is up to 6 months and/or up to $1,000 fine. And they are not even required to register as a sex offender. So I guess FLA is much stricter.

Don't feel they'll get 15 years for this fiasco....When I lived right on the Beach, late at night (and I worked nights)...we often saw couples out there....from my window.......Most of 'em were drunk...so all we did was yell at them to get the hell out of there....But this was late at night and the Beach was secluded...no kids either....The Police did patrol but this funny business never ceased....just thankful I've never got a view of this happening in broad day light with families & kids around...

And I did view a video of this guy when he was arrested on the Beach...his bathing suit was a "thong"...not hiding much...

I was thinking the same thing RR. The sentence is a MAX of 15 years- it doesn't necessarily mean that they will actually get the full 15 years especially if one of the pair is a first time offender.

Agree....the Lady seems to have no record and is 20...but the guy?...He's in his 40's and was incarnated before for drug offenses.
