Where did it say they were under "blankets"?....they weren't...it was wide open!....and some people were videoing it....mothers with kids had to take their kids away from the view....

So the people who stoped and videoed the dirty deed are what? Isnt that shooting porn? Did they have a permit to shoot porn on a beach? Where is the out rage at these porn shooters?

OK, if metal detectors are not allowed on Mass. beaches, does it automatically mean that the state of Mass makes profits from valuable findings by using their own metal detectors on the beaches that forbid metal detectors? Please explain a little more if you can. Do you have an amateur video of the government finding a valuable stuff by using the metal detector which is not allowed?

Sounds like an assistant DA with higher aspirations to me. I can see his campaign posters: I kept sex off our beaches and when I found them doing it, I put them in prison for a long time! Were banned means government banned, it does not necessarily means its one day ban, it could be indefinetly.

I have to correct you. You see, "Were" is the past sense of "are". Your quote - Many were banned = metal detectors were banned in the past and therefore they are allowed now. So which is which? Many were banned or many are banned? If many are banned, don't you mind posting a list of those beaches that ban it?

it was banned to protect the historic objects assuming that it's over 100 years old but this is beach we're talking about.... it's mostly legal.
