Feds probing arrests of disruptive student

All this talk about mental screening for civilians to have guns and this guy get's one with a badge. Scary.

I saw this earlier when we were waiting at the vet's- I don't agree with the girl supposedly refusing to give up her phone, but the video I saw seemed like it - was - a LOT of force when dealing with such an obvious size/power difference....and no weapon on the student's part.

It worries me to think that this is another case of unequal treatment.

The article I was reading stated that the girl was disruptive in the classroom and teacher told her to stop. Yet she refused and teacher had to call resource officer to come and told her to come with him to the office. She refused to get up, so he had to get her up and arrest her... she was resisting in the process.

Where is the respect when someone disobey the teacher and police officer? In those videos the other students did not react much and sit still to see the whole thing without a protest.

In the other article, the same officer had history of excessive force complaint. Would you wonder what other officer would do in this situation when a student like her refused to obey the teacher and officer's order?

Maybe the student's parents should had been called and taken home . I wonder if there anything wrong with the student or if something is going on at home. I saw on the news that the police handcuffed another student who was not doing anything.

@ caz , I was going by the what it said on video . It said Feds.

Feel the same way, Calvin...she was disrespectful to the teacher and the other students....

Yeah but I feel the police when overboard , he didn't have to throw her around like that . He could had really hurt her and the police is already under investigating for violation of another student. I fought police put on leaved pay when this happen.

The classroom is meant for learning and teacher to do their job teaching. Student can not be disruptive of other student's learning.

The girl in the video asked for it when she disrespected both teacher and the officer. The officer approached her nicely to get up, she refused, he asked her the 2nd time. Then he tossed her and pulled her in front of classroom to arrest her and still resisted. Were the officer out of line in the force, maybe but what would anyone do if a student refuses and act in defiance?

My parents would say that I learned a lesson and listen to adults and respect the teacher and officer.

The girl's parents probably would think... "I'm going to have a big payday for my daughter's action"

Scary but could be true. :(

I agree the girl was acting like a jerk and if was not first time she did this she should had be kicked out school for week to cool off. And if she did it second she out for good. We'll have to see what the result of FBI finding are . But the police is already being investigated for his handling of another student so this could also look bad for him.

Oh well, that's not new to me.

I used to be rebellious teen when I was in high school, also security guard pulled me out of class, got argue with teachers, fought with students and suspension.

I managed to graduate with HS degree. That's high school after all.

I witnessed that black students are punished more harshly.

For example, I got 1 day suspension for disrespectful to school principal but one of black student in our class got arrested and suspended for 5 days for same violation.

The other kids must had phone camera.they should be banned..Where has respect gone .her behaviour should just put her in suspension..I would imagine after all the problems with school shooters cops would been told how to handle this and I bet what he did is acceptable. This girl must had reputation and teacher not going do anything to provoke her..should be cctv in all classes get the full picture what happening

Yea, cop was waaay overboard. I agree that the girl was disrespectful but the cop could have just cuffed her and carried her out or gotten assistance.

Is this what it about black/white.Cops normally have training how handle this situation .This trading he had then
Similar thing happen here few years ago it was filmed looked awful difference being this woman had 6 cops holding her down.Uproar about it but they had followed the rules and training they been given and nothing was or could be done. This aplys to both American and Brit cops
