Did you know it is a characteristic of psychopaths to interject "um" a lot into conversations?

It's one of the ways police analysts recognize them in the early stages of investigation.

OMG, I can't stand her anymore.

She is remind me of Joker.

Most college don't have special program for autism.

There aren't any programs for autism in our area.

Online classes are great accommodation and the education is more important than social skill, so the social skill can taken care after they completed the education and there are a lot of internships.

They do exist however. Not at all colleges, but they do exist. These programs would be specificly for social impairment......not nessarily classic autism, since it's fairly rare for a classic autistic person to attend higher learning.....Much of the time, HFA can and do fit into programs (and formal programs not just crappy barely there support services) specificly for students with learning disabilties, ADD etc, since many of those kids may also have social issues. simlair to HFA. And no, the most important thing is social skills. If it was about education, then there wouldn't be such a high rate of unemployment with the HFA/social impairment crowd. I see this a LOT.....both parents and students somehow get suckered into thinking that education is the most important thing, and they raise kids who barely even know how to interact socially.....and this isn't just for people with social issues either...... often offspring of helicopter parents may be lacking socially....Ever read about all those people who are "well educated" but cannot land a job? And Aspie/HFA people are at a distinct disadvantage compared to typical people....... Just saying......I know people with two Master's Degrees, but they cannot get a job b/c they have ZERO social skills......I know a guy with Asperger's who Syndrome who attended a mainstream college, fixtating that the answer was education. Meanwhile he got in trouble for following girls, and walking in on his RA while she was changing..... He graduated magna cum laude, but ten years later he still has not found a job. I interact often with special needs students.....and the thinking is the same..... but except for the rare kid who is very socially adept or who has had a lot of disabilty specific interventions , they still struggle BIG TIME with even landing an interview.......Just saying.

What if you misunderstood? I spoke with a parent of a kid who actually ATTENDS Alabama School for the Deaf, and a teacher. You most likely misunderstood.

Why am I a psychopath simply b/c I bring up issues? How do you know he's not mistaken about this or that? I agree 100% with Calvin....there are many different pieces to the puzzle. There's no one size fits all for hearing students....so why would there be for dhh students?

I didn't say you are a psychopath.

I said you use the speech patterns of a psychopath..

This thread doesn't do you much credit . You are very disrespectful in the way you address many people.
