FBI wants to access your online etc.

:repost: Post # 169

Anyway, how can they watch what MILLIONS of us are privately doing daily?

As it's been pointed out they probably use algorithms for all the data just like searching with google. And does it matter if they are watching all of us or some of us? Who knows who's being watched.

OIC, I'd appreciate if they are watching anyone who purchases assault rifles online.

Just an interesting note. According to the FBI numbers for 2011 there where just 323 murders carried out with any type of rifle but according to national weather service around 400 people are struck by lightning each year.

Are murders bad? Yes but if you're truly concerned about public safety spread the word about lightning safety :D

it's worth reposting again.

ever heard of a computer?

beside.... Google is already recording and analyzing billions of people daily.

Reposting is not necessary.

He used work for DOD. OFC. I believe government can check their own government employee. So I don't work for government and I don't care again. :dunno2:

My friend's friend who works for federal and someone can't use personal online like facebook, blog, etc. even off-duty.

that's not what it's about.

it's about exposing what government is doing and how they're monitoring you.

For your sake, I re-read the link you reposted. It said nothing about Google's recordings.

dude.... if FBI was asking Google and a bunch of internet firms to hand over data.... where do you think they got the data from? magic?

and you didn't know this? Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Netflix, X-Box, and hundreds of corporations (mainly entertainment-related, sports, tv, email, etc.) have been recording people's activity for decades. it's actually a common knowledge.

what do you think how does Google service remain FREE for everybody? simple... people's data worth tons of money.

Exactly. They are in the information business. How do people think they make money?

Sean Parker and Mark Zuckerburg make billions and billions of dollars from data collected from people - Facebook, Plaxo, Airtime, etc.

Sean Parker is probably one of first few people who actually thought first to make billions of dollars from collecting data by offering free service.

I think its funny that people don't realize that companies like facebook have just found a clever way to get you to hand over personal data

it's actually simple - stop putting up tons of personal info online but people do. I have no idea why.

So should we be arresting Mother Nature for all of the 'crimes' she committed??? I think Jack Frost should be arrested too for all the power outages he cause.
