Do have you to made this into a political debate??? This is also about people coming together during a horrible tragedy , didn't you all people in Watertown getting together when the terrorist was arrested? And thank goodness people where not like you trying to made this a political issues, or we never would had gotten the guy.
Amen. I have been reading people blasting both parties, as if the way someone votes determines how often we get these bombers/terrorists/mass murderers. Can we all agree on anything?

I live in the DC area...u can find the same here in the late hours. I did my internship in Boston for 3 months and I saw similariies to places being open that late.

To be fair, that is only on the weekend and no alchhol is served after 1:00 latest. There has been a growing movement to change this, but we are still pretty conservative.

They recently banned loud motorcycles in the North End.

Since Boston is so small, there is not a lot of commercial and residential separation.

I got a pop up about NRA and I was not able to read the link , I did not want to click on the x to close the pop up.

That's normal about Think Progress has ads that want to get reader's support - just close it with x - no effect on your computer.

I'm frequently Think Progress reader (read everyday) and they rarely pop up after close it or no thanks.

Other way: Click "Close and Continue to the site".

I have had some crazy things happen when I do that with pop up on my new computer. They just pop up again and again!

ACLU is crazy in some cases.

I heard on the news that the death sentence maybe asked for the guy, he is in the hospital trying to kept alive by the government so he came put to death. I am not sure what to think of this. Both his hands are handcuff to his bed so and he is being watch so he can't hurt himself.

Actually, if you believe the mission of the ACLU, they have no opinion other than an inference into the law(what the law stands for). They do not bring cases to change law unless it conflicts with existing law.

The ACLU does not side with either party, it sides with the law. If the government does things which are contrary to existing law(such as taking away Miranda rights), the ACLU brings case against it.

Now, I'm not saying there are not things wrong with the ACLU. After all, it is run by people, but it makes money from cases not from lobbyist. So that is about as impartial as you can get if you think about it.

Ok, Think Progress is safe website and once you close it so it won't pop up again until further notice.

It just like you read CNN, NBC, ABC and FOX news on their websites.

It is ineffective because pop up from Think Progress only inside of website - not new window or tab.
Pop-ups are always open in new windows, thus it's why it's called a pop-up.

Edited: Oh, I just checked the link you provided. It uses the different method called inline popup so the blocker can't prevent them.

eh? I had no problem with FireFox Browser. It had block pop up ads. I use to read CNN, CBS, ABC news websites.

What about inline popups (as an example, click on Foxrac's link in post #500)? I always use IE and its pop-up blocker can't block inline popups. However, I also have Firefox installed and recently tested it. Unfortunately, its pop-up blocker can't block inline popups either.

TinyMCE - inlinepopups

This plugin makes all dialogs to open as floating DIV layers instead of popup windows. This option can be very useful in order to get around popup blockers.

I added-on "Flash blocker" for Firefox browser.

Massachusetts does not have a death penalty but prosecutors could seek the death penalty at the federal level.

I think they also want him alive, so they can question him and find out if there were any other people involved in the bombing. Or if there are other bombs out there they have not found yet.

And I think he should be read his Miranda rights. He is, I have to grudgingly admit, an American citizen. Americans are supposed to be guaranteed full due process of law, according to the U.S. Constitution.
