Exhausted Obama

the reason why I know is because there are some articles written about his daily routine during his first 40 days.

Obama, Reaching Outside the Bubble

now you can easily see a couple of problems there that Obama is still having....

I do not like to make assumptions, but I have a feeling that you regret voting for Obama. Sad. I read the entire article, and I do not really see much wrong with what he is doing except the fact that he is doing so much more than he should be able to handle, but I think it's because Obama really wants to work his damnedest best to be a good president and turn this country and the economy around. Propping his feet up on desks? Yeah, unprofessional, but it's not really that important. So what? I don't care...it's not that important...turning the economy around, ending the war in the middle east, bringing the troops home, setting up socialized health care so that everybody has access to medical care, civil and human rights for everybody, raising the minimum wage so that we can make a living wage, and about a zillion other things that are so fucking much more important than some feet on a desk. What he is doing to help the country is so much more important than propping his feet up on other desks. If he ends up getting impeached just because he is a casual person and props his feet up on desks, then I will lose my faith in humanity.

I have faith in him that he will soon adjust to this new life as a president, and will eventually learn to pace himself and not do too much in a day and make himself exhausted. He will learn - he is NOT dumb. Yes, there are so many things that are on his plate, and it is not his fault. Bush left this mess to him, and he is trying his damnedest best to clean it up. He really wants to succeed, and I can see that. Can't you see that he is trying to do his damnedest best to fix the problems that Bush created? Give him a break. Yes, many people may not consider his behavior professional (the propping of feet on desks, etc) but that is really not important in the grand scheme of things. What's more important is what he CAN do to help our country while in office. And remember...Obama is not Bush. Don't expect him to do exactly every damn thing that Bush did such as rising early. He has a very different personality, and he was not raised wealthy, so he understands so much more about poverty than Bush ever will, and I am not going to expect him to change his personality just to look good. I do not want him to change his personality - he is a very nice guy and I want him to stay that way, instead of being a snobby rich asshole like Bush was. Leave him alone and stop being a hypocrite...you voted for Obama, so stop complaining about him. Bush was an EPIC FAIL, but I have faith in Obama. Don't jump to conclusions yet, it is still too early, it's hardly even two months.

Jiro,

See? I´m not alone who view your most posts that you regret for vote Obama. That´s an exact what I tried to tell you in my lock thread at month ago.

Dictionary.com :
"a research institute or organization employed to solve complex problems or predict or plan future developments, as in military, political, or social areas."

It's a bunch of guys (men and women) sitting around discussing problems and how to solve them. Each "tank" is usually focused on a particular field. There are think tanks for the military, business, political groups, medicine, science, advertising, etc. They sometimes include research, forecasting, and experimenting.

Zillion thanks! Much appreciate with your kindly assist for me to understand better what it means. :ty:

he doesn't need to take a break. he's the President. he can choose to decline the meetings if he wants to. Hell - he can choose to have no meeting for a day! I think you're not understanding how incredibly stressful and busy the President job is and what his day-to-day activity is like. Imagine the shock that Obama's feeling!!! Many other administrations know this because they used to be CEOs and/or long-time Governor/Senator. They're used to it.

Right.

I'm not surprised that he is overwhelmed considering the situation. I think nearly anyone would be if they had such a task.

Absolutely, I cant imagine how can President Obama handles everything during this bad economic society at same time resolve other issues. He needs back up more congresses to take over priority to do jobs.

Why suggest small breaks and understanding for Obama but continue to bash Bush for any and all times he was out of the White House? Just wondering what the rationale is.

The rationale is that Bush took far more vacations than necessary. Obama did not. In fact, he hasn't taken a single vacation yet.

ASLGAL,

If you understand that being President of the United States is a stressful job, why can't you cut Obama some slack?

Awesome, you made many GOOD points. Yes exactly feet up on the desk. So what !! President John F Kennedy had an affair with Marilyn Moore. President Clinton affair with Monica. President Jimmy Carter ate alot of peanuts. President Reagan ate pretzel suck in his mouth. President Richard Nixon watergate, etc.. etc.... Who ate jelly bean candies ??

It is our responsibility to spend money on other things uses the credit cards instead of pay on our bills. There are more and more foreclosure homes due to lay off the jobs, credit cards skyrocket, etc... Car repossess, car insurance cancel, they can’t drive their cars to commute children school, medical appointment visit grandparents or parents, etc...

Is not it scary ?? Why they blame on Obama for this messy. It is Bush threw everything at next president. Give Obama a break and let him enjoy relaxing his feet up on the desk. He masubratate if he likes to look at porn magazine. so What !!!

Whoa Moncia gave blow job :bj: Bill Clinton to messy on her blue velt dress. Where did the dress go now?? The dress is at American History in Washington, DC. Oh, we need to go to that museum as soon as possible to see Bill Clinton's dry sperm. Isn't it interesting to make a big deal into the media if we do unprofessional job.

So what !!! We should appreciate all of USA presidents do their job for our country !! American should be appreciating of each president to do serve us for security is more priority.

I don't think we'll have to worry about Obama practicing any sexual indescretion in the White House. He and Michelle are very close and have one of the most intimate relationships that I've ever seen a President and First Lady have.

you might want to double check on that. plus - Bush brought work home. what's wrong with working at home?

Did anyone read the ACTUAL original article? You guys are acting as if Obama made an announcement that he needs a break or something. In reality, Obama probably just yawned a little too much during this meeting, and someone saw him and started making all sorts of assumptions "See? Obama's tired, he can't handle this, it's just too much work for him. He is so inexperienced and can't delegate time." The article is purely an opinion based on "how weary" he looked! Come on........

Here's proof:

Public or Private? The Vacationing Styles of George W. Bush and Barack Obama - US News and World Report

"Bush has now made 77 trips to the ranch during his presidency. If he departs on New Year's Day as scheduled, he will have spent 490 full or partial days there, according to Mark Knoller of CBS News, who keeps records of Bush's travels. That's one of the highest numbers of presidential vacation days in history."

proof of what?

This is a common pattern. America's commanders in chief have regularly and, in some cases, obsessively sought a respite from their duties at their homes. George Washington, for example, spent as much time at his home in Mount Vernon, Va., as he could. Thomas Jefferson had his plantation at Monticello in Virginia. Theodore Roosevelt had Sagamore Hill on Long Island. Franklin Roosevelt often went to his home in Hyde Park, N.Y., and to his retreat at Warm Spring, Ga. John F. Kennedy took frequent breaks in Hyannisport, Mass. Lyndon Johnson regularly visited his ranch in central Texas. George Herbert Walker Bush vacationed in Kennebunkport, Maine.

The common thread is a search for normalcy, but each president defines it in different ways.

While George W. Bush wanted private time above all, Obama appears to be more in tune with Bill Clinton—seeking the companionship of friends and acquaintances, going out for meals and family jaunts, enjoying his wider surroundings.

every president has different style of coping with stress. Again - Bush brought work home. Nothing wrong with that. After all..... we have been terrorist-free for 7 years. :cool2:

Obama isn't young. I believe he is 46 or 47, and that is NOT young at all....
That is relatively young for a President.

"The average age for presidents upon taking office has been 56, with the youngest being Theodore Roosevelt (42) and the oldest being Ronald Reagan (69). The youngest president to be elected in his own right was John Kennedy, who was 43 when he took office. (Theodore Roosevelt was vice president and became president after President McKinley's assassination.)"

LOL I agree. A whole preponderous article written over hearsay. That is the new American journalism. Sheesh.

...I thought you should thankful that you have a President who shows up for work EVERYDAY?
There are no presidents of the USA who are ever "off" work while they're in office unless they turn over their duties to their VP.

It´s nice thoughtful of Obama gave British PM gifts for him and his kids, no matter what but US DVD doesn´t work in EU player…
That isn't "thoughtful"--that's thoughtless since no one even bothered to check if the PM could use the gift. Also, there was nothing special about that gift.

I  UK media because they should focus to tell PM Brown to stay home to take care of his country and enonomy…
Then I guess Americans should tell Obama to stay home, don't visit England, and take care of his country and economy.

… Do they expect that Obama family should pay hundred dollars gifts for PM Brown´s children?
They could at least put a little more thought into the gift giving instead of picking something off the White House tourist gift shop shelf.

I can´t believe that some British citizens feel insulted over Obama´s gift to PM Brown. They should remember that the gifts is a thoughtful gifts, it don´t have to be expensive.
That's the whole point--there was no thoughtfulness involved.

To my personally view, it´s wrong of British press to paint Obama negative few days later over that gifts because we haven´t hear British PM´s personal view about Obama´s gift yet. I don´t know either Obama know or not that US DVD doesn´t work on EU players.
The PM is probably too much of a diplomat to mention the "gifts."
