Exhausted Obama

right... that's usually the case of transferring power to VP - medical reason. and now.... transferring the power to VP cuz of exhaustion? very very very very bad sign!

Not necessarily. Being a president is the most stressful job in the world, and we know that he has not even taken a day off yet. Maybe all he needs is a day or two off every once in a while, he can still make decisions and be "on-call" in case of emergencies, but he can go to Camp David once in a while so he doesn't have a day full of stressful meetings and appointments and whatnot...let's wait and see how taking a break once a while affects/helps him before we jump to conclusions. Everybody needs a break once in a while. It's human nature. And maybe he should be encouraged to pace himself so that he is not doing too much at the same time, so many things in a single day, excessive multi-tasking, etc. I have faith in him and I think he will learn to pace himself soon. I just think he's an uber-overachiever and that is making him be exhausted. Please don't jump to conclusions yet. Taking a break once in a while could be a very good thing for him, and then he can come back to office well-rested and feeling and being more efficient in making critical decisions and doing his job. It's only been about two months or so since he took office.

Ok. I have been watching this for some time but have not said a word to keep my ass out of the talks.

Initially the opinion from one side was that BO (abbreviation of Barack Obama, not BO as in pronunciation BOH if you are going to flame me for this) is that he seems to have bitten off more than he could chew. A plethora of examples despite his short time in office, have supported the opposition's statements, including this topic.

Some forgot that even though the opposition may have not liked BO, they voted for him because they felt that he would do a better job than MCCAIN, who they despised even further. If Mccain was president today, perhaps we would see even more complaints. So, this is the initial reason Obama as chosen. Unless you wanted them to choose Nader??

Afterwards, the BO's uncredited defense has constantly sought for pacifism of BO's handling of issues due to the fact that previous Administrations left a mess, such as W's, Clintons', Reagan's, or should I even say Calvin Coolidge if we are going back to grasping at straws about the great depression era?

The main defense was that BO was barely in there for his time and he needs to be given a chance.

Now why can't the other team speak of the faults of previous administrations if you used it for your backing up of BO?

This is not just wrong. This is fallacious.

...and "leave" means get out of the kitchen if you can't take the heat.
I said "IF" he can't manage to buck up. We hope he will get a grip on things and be able to overcome his exhaustion.

he doesn't need to take a break. he's the President. he can choose to decline the meetings if he wants to. Hell - he can choose to have no meeting for a day! I think you're not understanding how incredibly stressful and busy the President job is and what his day-to-day activity is like. Imagine the shock that Obama's feeling!!! Many other administrations know this because they used to be CEOs and/or long-time Governor/Senator. They're used to it.

That's right.

I think you're not understanding how incredibly stressful and busy the President job is and what his day-to-day activity is like.

This is exactly the point Lucia and I are trying to get across.

no no no. you cut off rest of my story. bad girl! :nono: You excluded "Imagine the shock that Obama's feeling!!! Many other administrations know this because they used to be CEOs and/or long-time Governor/Senator. They're used to it."

Doesn't matter. Stress is stress and isn't exclusionary to the President.

the stress isn't the same kind of stress that we experienced. that's why this kind of job is best left for experienced person.

Why did you vote for a Presidential candidate who you claim lacks experience? :)

Here's what you said:
It's the same thing. If he can't do one thing he needs to do the other.

If Obama can't bear the stress, then it is better that he let someone else do it rather than stay in a permanent state of exhaustion which could affect his decision making.

Let's hope he realizes this and employs some strategies that will improve the situation before he collapses.

Why did you vote for a Presidential candidate who you claim lacks experience? :)

because....

1. I think it's time for "Change"
2. mccain's health is questionable and sarah palin frightened me.
3. if mccain had Kay Bailey Hutchison as his VP - it's a slam dunk decision for me.

The end result is still the same: You voted for a Presidential candidate who you claim lacks experience. :)

exactly... Like you said, Hear Again - Obama is young and eager.... it's natural of him to bite more than he can chew. I simply hope that he recognizes this serious error and will quickly adjust to it. He has to adopt the same tactic that past Administrations have used - management 101... delegate the tasks to those highly-qualified for it.

The end result is still the same: You voted for a Presidential candidate who you claim lacks experience. :)

yes. I've said this many times during pre-election. Why why why why did McCain pick Palin..... :mad2:

I asked myself the same question 1,000 times over. :)
why why why why why why why why......

It doesn't matter what the article said.
then you don't know for sure if Obama's delegating the tasks or not. the article clearly stated that Obama bit more than he chew.

"The one real serious flaw I see in Barack Obama is that he thinks he can manage all this," the well-known figure told a Washington official, who spoke to this newspaper. "He's underestimating the flood of things that will hit his desk." A Democratic strategist, who is friends with several senior White House aides, revealed that the president has regularly appeared worn out and drawn during evening work sessions with senior staff in the West Wing and has been forced to make decisions more quickly than he is comfortable.

He said that on several occasions the president has had to hurry back from eating dinner with his family in the residence and then tucking his daughters in to bed, to conduct urgent government business. Matters are not helped by the pledge to give up smoking.

the topic of lacking experience... they ALL lack experience of being the President of the United States unless they are re-elected to serve a 2nd term.

Again, it doesn't matter what the article says. Besides, that's one person's opinion. So what? The media oftentimes paints an inaccurate picture of what happens in the White House. It's nothing new.

huh.... your opinion whom you never met or work with obama vs. the opinion from one who works with Obama on daily basis.... I think his opinion trumps over you by billion miles. no offense :)

Yes, but some Presidential and VP candidates lack more experience than others. Hence, Palin vs. Biden.
