Exhausted Obama

That is relatively young for a President.

"The average age for presidents upon taking office has been 56, with the youngest being Theodore Roosevelt (42) and the oldest being Ronald Reagan (69). The youngest president to be elected in his own right was John Kennedy, who was 43 when he took office. (Theodore Roosevelt was vice president and became president after President McKinley's assassination.)"
The Presidency

Yep, President Obama is still young at age of 47. :)

Did Obama say that he is not happy with his job?
Why ask me? I didn't say that.

Did Obama say that he is regret for take the job?
Why ask me? I didn't say that.

I´m sure that he KNEW what kind of job he will expect when he become Presdient before he annonnce in Election 2008, isn´t he?
If you're sure about that then you have more inside information than I do.

If Obama feel that the job is not for him then he feel free to resign. Nobody forces him to stick with his job up to 4 years, don´t they?
That's true. He can do that. Nixon resigned, so he can, too.

I find funny that you didn´t complaint that Bush made frequent "temporary breather"
I didn't complain about Obama taking a "temporary breather" either. So what's so funny?

You keep on saying how young Obama is, etc but you forget quickly that Obama is much older than you?
Obama is young for a President. During his campaign the emphasis was on how he was the YOUNG candidate, and McCain was the OLD candidate.

ASLGAL,

If you understand that being President of the United States is a stressful job, why can't you cut Obama some slack?
I will make a deal with you Hear Again, I promise I will cut Obama more slack if you will do the same for Bush. After all, Bush was governing a country attacked in his first years in office, talk about stress.

Which is the worst Bush´s lie to lead people to death or Clinton and blowjob in the oval ?
 Brother, that old thing again. Bush did not lie but Clinton was acting inappropriately in the oval office. Actually Clinton's telling lies under oath is what got him into hot water, not his deviant sexual activities.

The rationale is that Bush took far more vacations than necessary. Obama did not. In fact, he hasn't taken a single vacation yet.
Says who? Bush was in a stressful job and may have needed a few breaks, right?
You really believe Obama has taken no vacations yet? He has gone on a jaunt to Chicago, a jaunt to Colorado, a jaunt to the Democrat Retreat, just to name a few and only been in office less than 2 months.

"Bush has now made 77 trips to the ranch during his presidency. If he departs on New Year's Day as scheduled, he will have spent 490 full or partial days there, according to Mark Knoller of CBS News, who keeps records of Bush's travels. That's one of the highest numbers of presidential vacation days in history."
and just like at Camp David, he often, quite often had meetings and dignitaries at the Ranch or Camp David which turned his vacation into a working vacation.

That still carries a sting for us old geezers, eh? ]
Sadly, I am begining to resemble that remark :aw:

He's a young President and healthy. He should be able to handle the stress. What if a real emergency comes up, like JFK had with the Cuban Missile Crisis? Could he stay up for 72 hours straight and make world-impacting decisions in hours or even minutes?

I bet you that Obama did the job SEVERAL TIMES MORE than Bush did and he's a LOT MORE INVOLVED than Bush was.

I bet you that Obama did the job SEVERAL TIMES MORE than Bush did and he's a LOT MORE INVOLVED than Bush was.

how? so far.. regarding national security - he hired Bush's advisers and copied Bush's policy. I guess he had a lot of work cut out for him. health care issue? Clinton did it for him. :dunno:

this is what I expect from Obama Administration -

Positive
1. LONG-DUE major overhaul of Modernization of US Government & infrastructure
2. Much improved oversight and accountability
3. Improved & Affordable Education
4. Affordable Health Care (not likely in 1st term but possible in 2nd term if re-elected)
5. Intervention in Darfur

Negative aka EPIC FAIL!
1. Foreign Policy
2. National Security policy
3. his handling of future wars
4. Amendment 2
5. Economy

Did anyone read the ACTUAL original article? You guys are acting as if Obama made an announcement that he needs a break or something. In reality, Obama probably just yawned a little too much during this meeting, and someone saw him and started making all sorts of assumptions "See? Obama's tired, he can't handle this, it's just too much work for him. He is so inexperienced and can't delegate time." The article is purely an opinion based on "how weary" he looked! Come on........

 No wonder!!!

There are no presidents of the USA who are ever "off" work while they're in office unless they turn over their duties to their VP.

Bush did frequently. Have you read the link, I posted about the record of Bush´s absence?

That isn't "thoughtful"--that's thoughtless since no one even bothered to check if the PM could use the gift. Also, there was nothing special about that gift.

Interesting, I thought it´s inappropriate accord your posts - due our debate over gift situation at other threads. Look at your post here, you should agree with me in other thread...

Actually, like what I said an earlier that it´s embarrassment that the gift, Obama gave PM Brown and his kids is not appropriate which it should be traditional and historic. All of that, it´s still nice thoughtful of Obama. It´s better than NO gifts.

Then I guess Americans should tell Obama to stay home, don't visit England, and take care of his country and economy.

None of Americans complaint Obama´s visit plan to England but UK over gifts. :dunno:

They could at least put a little more thought into the gift giving instead of picking something off the White House tourist gift shop shelf.

That's the whole point--there was no thoughtfulness involved.

Again, above about your post at other thread that you should agree with me.

The PM is probably too much of a diplomat to mention the "gifts."

How do you know?

The link, you posted saying that you must be 35 to run for President. Obama is 47. :)

Why ask me? I didn't say that.

Í quoted your own post to response.

That's true. He can do that. Nixon resigned, so he can, too.

Huh? Nixon choose to resign to avoid impeachment as a fair consequence. If Obama feel that it´s too much for him then he feel free to resign then is his voluntarily. This is a difference. :)

I didn't complain about Obama taking a "temporary breather" either. So what's so funny?

Good :)

Obama is young for a President. During his campaign the emphasis was on how he was the YOUNG candidate, and McCain was the OLD candidate.

Isn't it time to have a young president with enough energy to do the job?

What about John F. Kennedy?

how? so far.. regarding national security - he hired Bush's advisers and copied Bush's policy. I guess he had a lot of work cut out for him. health care issue? Clinton did it for him. :dunno:

Don't make assumptions without facts.

:ty: for correction.

I thought workaholism mean is work REAL hard.

actually no. it IS bad. people who work to death are the one who do not know how to work efficiently and smartly. have you ever heard of what happened to workaholic?
