This is sad example of poor suffering tortured child forced to hear.
Imagine how un-happy would she be with CI.

We don't blame you since Sweetmind has obviously trained most of us to be defensive. Remember Pavlov's dog? Just a classical conditioning...

I had to read his comment twice lol. Nice one, Fuzzy!

I don't believe in CI implants. Hearin' aids are okay, but not CI implants from the way I view it. Hearin' aids and CI implants are different.

Welcome CyberRed - are you going to post a bit more here? I used to wear hearing aids faithfully but my hearing loss got a lot worse last year and I can't wear them any more so that's why I'm having a CI. The CI can help me in a way that hearing aids can't by bypassing my severely damaged hair nerves.

Sweetmind did not train any of us... she only made good points of view... she has a right to voice!!!!

Thanks!!!

Without knowing much about you (Fuzzy), I am now thinking that maybe I took this the wrong way. If you were trying to make a point that helping children hear is not torture, then I am very sorry for thinking negative!!!

absolutely I was being very very sarcastic, as sarcastically sarcastic as only it is possible,
since Sweetmind is hammering down my brain - and with a pneumatic jack hammer, may I add -

how oppressive CI and other devices are for children .

And yes , I'll continue being sarcastic.
No hard feelings anyone- I understand :)

Please be gentle with us..... I'm not sure how much we can take!!

SxyPorkie, if you have migraine then you have neurological disorder that is separate from anything else.
Noise is among many triggers that does not CAUSE migraine per se but may start a chain reaction that ends in head pain in people who have migraine disorder.
Other triggers apart from sound are smells, light, hormones, food, weather, oversleeping, and other.

Looks like noise was a strong trigger for you, and that is why you couldn't wear your HA succesfully. But your HAs did NOT caused your headache.
It merely triggered what you already had.

If you are interested in migraine there is a lot of info on the 'net about it.

I myself can not wear my HAs when I have migraine because it make me feel worse. But I can wear them otherwise, no plm.

What exactly causes migraine is still not known, but scientist suspects the brain stem is involved.

Thanks for understanding! I don't know what I was thinking. I was too quick to reply. That will teach me not to cook dinner, answer emails, read posts on this forum, and take care of 2 kids at the same time! I wasn't thinking about all the posts I read from you, if I did I would have realized you couldn't possibly mean what you wrote.

Just before you wrote the post, you had 1003 post, and wbharely had 1003 posts.... :)

Looking at posts and reading them are not the same thing.
How true....

Why is it that a lot of people here are assuming I said things I never said? Methinks they don't read my posts.
