Which actually is a interesting statement.
Question now is - since you brought it up -

How many Deaf people are not here because they cannot write english correctly? Not that there's a need for it - I understand the message anyhow. But still... how many do we not see???

cloggy, I believe as in my intense research for 6-8 years there are about a possibly 15% of all deaf people that can't write english right. We might never know they cant until they tell you when you try pen and paper.

Really if you have so many questions ....learn to research or you can just pm me I will answer them

What and where are the resources to substantiate your intense research? Perhaps this is yet again a "personal belief".

oh ok

I have gone to 5 different libraries and thousands of sites to enrich all my research. And if it was a personal belief then I would have said that is was a personal belief

At least now I know I'm not the only person who noticed Cloggy's comments against deaf people.

For myself then, I would see this as a conclusion that you yourself has come to. Without quantifiable data to view I question the validity of your research.

true

Plus if there are so many things like cloogys comments against deaf people then the big question remains is Cloggy really deaf if so much against stuff??

Visit your local library. I'm sure you'll find plenty of information there.

However, quantifiable means with numbers. 15% is a number.

right

I dont validate uh? well I have researched a lot longer than you have probably! If you hate my researched answer than go research GEEZ!! I got to say but you need to sit your butt down for 6-8 years with research in your spare time that means I hardly hung out or played games or whatever, I lost a lot of fun to learn all of what I know.

Now do some darn research. Gosh damn it :pissed: :pissed:

If you expect people to take what you "research" seriously then you need to have your facts compiled and accessible.... other than that you are simply p*ssing in the wind.

Oh really people cant learn for themselves that is so hard to do? People's heads dont explode unless they have a bomb in their hair :laugh2:

Really learn to do things on your own because stating you want someone to vaildate research is like showing them how to dress or bathe themselves.

First of all to anyone who is hearing or grew up in hearing world it is crystal clear that hearing English or proper English, since most of the world uses it hearing way- is different from ASL grammar, and it shows when most deaf person is writing,
that cow was beaten to death many times over so drop it already please or dig in search and enjoy these debates again.

Second. Sweetie Sweetie.. should I call you or Tweety/ Tweetmind?

I can't enjoy it
It does not have CC and I can't hear nor sign.

Fuzzy
SM: READ IT ALOUD! Can you read it?? JEEZ!!!!

Jezz! Are you too stupid to understand that in this particular case I was reffering to the video of a man who is signing and maybe there is some voice over, but so what if I can't neither sign or hear WHAT IS SAID even if I CAN HEAR THE VOICE loudly with my HAs !!!

WHERE IS CC ? WHY THERE IS NOT CC ?

Once again WHERE DID I EVER WROTE MY HAs MAKE ME 100% HEARING PERSON ?????

show it and I'll give you a cheque for one thou.

are you too stupid to understand that there is a difference between writing "I can't hear what's said on the video AS IN I can't understand "what is being said" and " I can't hear ANYTHING" as in " I can't hear any sound"?

And in the real life since I can read lips I am doing pretty well, thank you and let me tell you when people speak in my own langauge they don't even know I am practically deaf!! it's English I have more problems because it's my second langauge!!

Your chosing my example as an argument that deaf pple or HoH pple are still hearing impaired with or without devices is so hopless, it's pitiful.
because for starters it was ME who said exactly that!!

Actually requesting the "researcher" to provide support for their statements is quite simply the sharing of information. To refuse to do so instills doubt and fractures any credibilty of the researcher.

Your choice.

I have a feeling that GNU and his fiancee Geek are sitting next to each other on the couch, laptop in the lap and instead of talking to each other they exchange messages via AllDeaf.... at least that's one possibility.

And then things like

I am curious to find out what spin-off is coming next....
Perhaps I'm not really in Norway, but reading your lips and sign through the window....
Quick.... close the curtains.... :scatter:

You realise that according to the PATRIOT act the FBI is now reading your email, getting your IP address, checking your memberships.....

Knock Knock... who's there?

I'm a deaf person and Cloggy's remarks seem fine to me. It's fine for you to disagree with his thoughts and beliefs, that is what debate is about but don't try and make out that he has something against deaf people.

Whatever his views he is hearing person that is very committed to his deaf child by providing her with a range of communication tools and by spending many hours talking to deaf people on the internet.
