Thanks, Webexplorer. Can you send me your credible sources you have read about Mitt Romney, please? I would like to read the information regarding him making a debt in the state history.
I fail to see Mitt Romney was responsible for the Big Dig disaster. I have watched the news and couldn't find any article that says Mitt Romney was at fault for the leaks and Big Dig accident. My heart goes out for a driver. That was such a tragedy. I am told MA residents were blaming the
MA Turnpike Authority who was the responsible for the construction of the Big Dig. I recently looked up the history of the Big Dig project and the Boston Globe (you need to register in order to read the articles online) and I was surprised that President Ronald Reagan vetoed the Big Dig project because he felt it was too expensive, but Congress
overrode his veto, and the project started in 1991. Mitt Romney was not a governor at the time. It also says under
MA law, the
Turnpike Authority is an independent agency that does
not report to the governor. After Mitt Romney was sworn in 2003, he called for the merger in 2003 and 2004. But the
MA legislature rejected Romney's call for consolidation. The leaks in the 1-93 tunnel was discovered and Romney called for Matthew Amorello, the chairman and CEO of
the Turnpike Authority's resignation. But Amorello
refused to resign. In June 2005, Romney asked the MA Supreme Judicial Court to grant him the authority to
fire Amorello, but the request was
denied. A year later, a driver was killed in the I-90. Amorello still refused to resign. Gov. Mitt Romney
didn't appoint him. Governor Jane Swift appointed him. They are blaming her as well. Romney still wanted Amorello fired and had to scheduled a hearing for the chairman. Amorello faced pressures and everything and finally resigned.
I am curious about the wind power mill. We have wind powers in southern CA and they looks cool. lol I think it is one of the great ways to reduce electricity bills. I also found out about flat screen television increasing electricity bills triple, which is not a good sign. :X I am not a big fan of Ted Kennedy. A friend of mine is a Boston native. He personally know Gov. Mitt Romney. Anyway, my friend is moderate, a bit wealthy and takes enivornment issues seriously, but he absolutely cannot stand Ted Kennedy because wealthy residents keep voting him in
his name. I think Teddy Kennedy needs to retire and play football in Hyannis.
Nantucket Island is beautiful and I see why wealthy residents do not want them because wind powers look hideous and don't want them disrupting their beautiful views. Sooner or later, wealthy residents need to learn to accept them. My friend also told me that MA residents always like to make fun of their home-state, "Taxachusetts".
I am sorry to hear the problems about Governor Deval Patrick. He overspent fortune on little things such as drapes for his office! I recall that Gov. Deval Patrick wanted to modify the immigration policy that was started by the Romney administration that means Patrick will remove the responsibility of MA state troopers to detain illegal immigrants that was given to them by Gov. Mitt Romney.
