Well, I have been trying to cordinate a dumpster delivery for Oct.4th.
Originally I got a quote through their online application and it was $384 for 14 days with no hidden fees.
I inquired the other night about getting it and was given a price of $460, I asked why the price increase and they claim they gave me a quote for St. Louis when the application has FESTUS on it?
So, today I inquire to set it up and they give me another price claiming price increased since? WTF, right. So i asked that they match the original price given to me, and still waiting a response, the place is the cheapest by far with no hidden costs or over the weight limit fees ( except if there are any banned items in the dumpster which I will make sure there isnt )
they are about $40 cheaper than the competitors but the competitors charge for over weight limit at about $60 a ton.....
So, Im deciding, do i want them or go with someone else, just I dont know how much weight I actually have in that shed.

Why not just put trashes in your old van and take to dumpster area? That what I do. It only cost gas to get it done. No hassle and such. I know it will make car smells so that is why you have air fresher with you. Before load trashes in car, place large black plastic bag and cut it into sheet and place on floor or seat to cover smells and any trash stains.

Could you drive to the place and get a written statement for how it will cost or it's out of your way? I think you should read over the rental agreement very carefully especially any fine print to made sure there are no hidden fees before signing it . I know you but it would read it really carefully b/c the place kind of shady to me.

I think he's referring to a commercial dumpster for construction trash, not household trash.

for that price, I would go BUY a 4X8 trailer used for 200-400 bucks and throw trash on that . take it to the dump anytime you want and get a dump sticker for the trailer. Later if you dont want the trailer - sell it for same price or better for what you got it for. Or just keep it. you never know if you need it. you can get a 2 year sticker from state maine for less then 40 bucks and it doesnt matter what state you live in.
Just do what I do - get your state sticker this year, use it. later when sticker runs out at end of the year- order the maine plates and you pay less per year . I know its ALOT cheaper then nys.

Yes, this is 10 tons of construction debris from gutting my house. Not anything a truck can do either. $65 a ton at the dumps and with only a half ton truck you still get charged for a full ton... so not worth the long trip, wasted gas...ect...

I don't blame you.

We're doing a smaller project right now. TCS is removing the carpeting (and pad) and ceramic tile from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and foyer. He's laying down hardwood flooring in its place. Just the debris from that job is several trailer loads plus the time needed to drive to and from the dump, and then the work of emptying out the trailer there. I can't imagine the cleanup work involved in a job the size you have.

Yeah, I think the dumpster is the way to go.

Sono, does your area have a demand for junk wood, constrction materials, etc.? Offer it free with the condition they come and haul it themselves. If you go the service route, inquire in person and get the agreement in writing (or contract) stating price, service description, limitations, disclaimers, etc. Don't get caught in scrupulous disagreements.

Had some peeps wanting the scrap wood for bonfires and small projects, i told them when i get started they can come grab all they want, less I have to move and load. Will have the dumpster 14 days but I plan to only have it for the weekend and done.

Holy s**t! Just an idea, what are the bon fire restrictions in your area? Yeah, back in rural NC they fire-it-up, and its legal.
