Dumpster rental...wtf?

If there is dry wall in that load that could end smelling rotten eggs , my city been fighting a landfill owner for years b/c he dumped dry walls in the landfill illegally . The landfill is giving off a toxic gas hydrogen sulfide .

well this has been in there 2-1/2 years uncovered til this summer when I put the roof on, no smells other than mildew. You can only faintly smell it when inside... it was beat on with rain and snow with nowhere to go.....

Maybe there was not enough drywall to real bad , man it been horrible here at times. My last dog started to vomit from the smell while outside , I almost vomited from it.
 
Its everything out of a 1400 sqft house, when I put drywall back in, took me around 400+ sheets...Maybe more I dont remember but I had several deliveries of full stacks.

That sure saved you a lot of $$$ being able to that kind of work . You could hire yourself out as a handyman.

LOL! People would pay you money ,there are some guys doing work on a neighbor's condo and they get paid $35.00 to paint a window on the outside of the building and there is very little wood to paint. It took him about 10 minutes to paint one window and get $35.00
 
My good friend from Highschool, started his own construction business years ago and he would hire me to do work for him ( plumbing, electrical and paint ) its amazing what you can charge, depending on the area ( they lived in a $500,000 house ) and the area is extremely rich, we painted a small half bathroom for $300...just unbelievable, when I wouldnt have paid more than $75 (including paint)

My sister and her husband had their painting and wallpapering business here and they did very good , we have a lot houses selling for $500 000 + in my city and near by towns. I had someone from South look at my condo and she could not believe how much it cost for 812 sq ft unit . The woman told my agent she could buy a house in the South for the same price . You can make good $$ if you know to bid right .

Yep, you also get what you pay for.
I worked with a guy who said he was a 30 year painter , I myself had 20 under my belt, but this guy did nothing but slop and it showed. Finally the guys told him to quit BSing as I was dancing circles around him and one guy said anybody can paint, his 5 year old could paint, but wasn't a painter...lol
he finally stopped bragging he was a 30 year painter, because he wasn't.
 
My boss had me working alone in nice homes in fear of the others making a mess. I could paint an entire 3 bedroom home in 8 hours if everything was out. Walls ceilings and all trim, including the doors. Some say im not human...lol
 
Mike, I would definitely hire you. We haven't even finished our kitchen yet and it's been I think two years. Hubby can do it, just so busy. I have to hire an electrician to do my new lighting and a company to refinish my cabinets. Kitchen has new granite, appliances and paint but it would be nice to actually finish it.

I know how you feel. After my injuries it really slowed me down and hindered me a lot. I could have had this house done alone in 1 year but because of my disabilities now it took 3 years of begging for help also.

LOL! When I was a health aide and did an errant for a client they asked me if I flew to store and back b/c I got back so fast. Most health aides took their sweet time shopping so they had less time to do other chores for their clients In 2 hours I did a laundry , go shopping, give a client PC ,personal care , fix a meal and made their bed. And my client would be tried when I was done. I tried to get as much done for my clients in 2 hours.
 
Very productive weekend, hurting and tired. Didnt get to the christmas lights, so next weekend maybe or else I just wont mess with them this year....
Got the yard cut the last time of the season, borrowed our friends weeddeeter and cut all the brush off the hillsides, loaded in the truck and ready for the dump monday.
what a PITA the hills are, gonna RoundUp the whole area, try to get clean fill to build the areas up and start leveling the yard around the house...
And this vine with needle like thorns that grows on the hills piss me off, goes right through work gloves and hurts like hell !!!!

Yeah it would catch pant legs and bite ya, jump on your back and claw you to death... I hate that vine, goes right through work gloves.
