Duggars Family... When Will It End?

I just finished watch the show that I recorded last night...they said it MIGHT be their last child due to her age...but it is all up to God's decsion. 18th baby born on Dec 18th...didn't realized that till they mentioned it. Beautiful baby girl. Jordyan-Grace...I like that name. :) But all "J" ugh!

It is their business to have that many kids...for me 1-2 are enough. Everyone are different who loves kids and have a lot of patience...I don't have much of patience with all questions or giving me a hard time. LOL! But I love my son no matter what! He is world means to me. :)

not Michelle going expecting baby! but her daughter-in-law is pregnant but Anna is 3 month pregnant so Anna is dues on Oct.18th 2009 congrats to Josh and Anna and newly grandparents Jim Bob and Michelle.

Looks like there's not going to be a shortage of Duggars anytime soon.

Joshua, 21 – the oldest of 18 kids born to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of Tontitown, Ark. – and his wife, Anna, 20, are expecting a baby of their own.

"I am very excited and am learning new ways every day that I can be there for my wife," Joshua tells PEOPLE. "I thought that she would be the only one going through the emotions of pregnancy, but I'm right there with her."

So "right there" that it was actually Joshua who gave Anna the big news.

'So Thrilled'
"I took the pregnancy test, but I couldn't bear to look at it because I didn't want to be disappointed," Anna explains. Joshua managed to keep the positive test a secret and announced it to the whole Duggar family, including Anna, later that night. "I said, 'You're going to join the Mommy team,' " Joshua says.

The giant J-named Duggar crew (all 18 children have names beginning with that letter) is featured in this week's issue of PEOPLE, sharing how they live debt-free and keep order amid the chaos of family life.

"We are so thrilled about this news," Michelle says. "It is so fun to be around Josh and Anna. They are walking on clouds." Jim Bob agrees: "We are really excited about being grandparents. We think it is really going to be easier than being parents." The couple's pregnancy will be featured on the TLC show about the clan, 18 Kids and Counting.

Advice from Mother-in-Law
Joshua and Anna live near the rest of the family and run their own car dealership in Springdale, Ark., and Anna says she is taking advantage of her mother-in-law's experience in the pregnancy department: "She told me to eat small meals frequently during the day to get through the morning sickness," she says. "And she gave me apricot juice that I've been sipping. It really helps a lot."

Joshua and Anna, who married in September 2008, are getting ready for the baby, due in October, by reading through pregnancy materials from Dr. Amy Sarver (the same ob-gyn who delivered the last three Duggar babies) and contemplating baby names.

Names beginning with the letter J?

"Discussions are underway," Joshua says. "We are planning on a name theme, but we are not sure what it will be."

"If they have a boy, they're welcome to name him Jim Bob," says Jim Bob, laughing. The couple's happy news was first reported on Monday's Today show.

18 kids, 1 grandkid: Duggars announce pregnancy
18 kids, 1 grandkid: Duggars announce pregnancy

SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Josh and Anna Duggar are following in the family tradition. Josh, the eldest of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar's 18 kids, announced Monday that he and new bride Anna were about to start their own brood. The couple, who's been married since September, said Anna Duggar is due Oct. 18.

"I am three months right now and feeling great. Morning sickness is pretty much all gone, and so we're looking forward to the birth of our baby," Anna Duggar told NBC's "Today" show Monday.

The Duggars live in northwest Arkansas and are featured on the cable TV show, "18 Kids and Counting." Michelle Duggar most recently gave birth in December, to Jordyn-Grace. Along with Josh and Jordyn, Michelle and Jim Bob are parents to: Jana, 19; John-David, 19; Jill, 17; Jessa, 16; Jinger, 15; Joseph, 14; Josiah, 12; Joy-Anna, 11; Jeremiah, 10; Jedidiah, 10; Jason, 8; James, 7; Justin, 6; Jackson, 4; Johannah, 3; and Jennifer, 2.

Josh Duggar said he and his wife haven't yet picked out a name, but are leaning toward establishing a theme with the future children's names.

"We're pretty sure we're not going to go with J," Josh Duggar said.

Josh, who is 21, and Anna, who is 20, live in Springdale, where they run a car dealership. He said he and his new wife are frequently asked whether they'll have a large family.

"We have committed leaving that area up to God as far as our family size," he said.

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar said they're thrilled to become grandparents, although the new baby won't be much older than their youngest, 4-month-old Jordyn.

"I had nieces and nephews that were about the same age as me, and it was great," said Michelle Duggar, who was the youngest of seven children. "I just enjoy growing up in a large family. I really think that Jordyn is going to have a lot with her new little friend coming."

im sure Josh and Anna wouldnt chose names J dues his brothers and sisters but i think the couples wanted chose names till born but Josh wanted name after his dad Jim Bob.

A random post...

I defend their right to produce as many as they can as long as they can afford to take care of them.

Yep, I second that. :) They have my respect more.

Anyways -- I am just doing some random stuff for horoscope on their kids. I counted how many signs that Duggar parents have. Yeah, I'm curious! :P

Aries - 0
Taurus - 2
Gemini - 1
Cancer - 1
Leo - 1
Virgo - 1
Libra - 1
Scorpio - 3
Sagittarius - 2
Capricorn - 5
Aquarius - 0
Pisces - 1

Noted - I counted two times for twins.

Interesting... They have more Capircorn kids than others but they have no Aquarius and Aries kids. :hmm: Indeed, interesting.

Anyways! I want to say congrats to Josh & Anna for having a baby! ;) (first thing on my mind, I thought Michelle will have another child cos of this title. lol)

I guess I miss alot by not watching tv..I pretty much live in the same town and didn't know about the up coming grandbaby..hehe

1) I wonder what the Duggar family reunion is going to look like in about 25 years...they're going to need to rent large festival grounds and the people that work there AND professional services to serve so many people if they have a reunion, it'll probably be bigger than a city public school. They'll probably need a real college yearbook to fit all the small photos of every single member of that family into one book to give to everybody at the reunion! I imagine what the bill for that will be. Yikes!

I think the Duggar family will have enough members that they'll be able to start a private school of their own for only Duggar students complete with football, baseball, basketball, soccer, and swim teams! Maybe they will start their own small town, too! :laugh2:

I just looked through my family tree just now out of curiosity as to my family size. My grandmother on my mother's side of the family had 7 children, resulting in a total of (I counted!) at least 88 family members just on that side of the family alone, including me and my siblings. I believe there are even more that have not been counted yet. And that is NOT including my grandmother's late husband's (he passed away in April of 2007 from a heart attack) 6 children and the resulting family members from those 6 children as I don't know the family tree for his family. I am NOT kidding. And there are more to come. The youngest of my mom's family is just a baby right now. My dad's family has only about a total of maybe 20 people, including our paternal grandparents, and that's excluding my dad's wife's family. We have not set up a family tree line of my dad's family. I have about 200+ pictures of everybody in my mother's side of the family family from the early 1900s to now. They've taken up about 6 or 7 large photo albums and 4 or 5 small photo albums and there are more to fill, I've two more empty ones to fill. I have too many family members that it's too expensive to buy brand new photo albums from even Walmart, so I buy them at the thrift store for less than 25 cents each. I may fill up two bookshelves when I'm done. No kidding. And I know there are many more...but we still will be dwarfed by the size of Duggar family even in 25 years. Compared to them, we are only a football team while they are...MySpace or Facebook. Know what I mean? The Duggars probably will have enough members to start up their own networking website like MySpace or Facebook in about 50 years.

2) Please, for love of all that is cute and furry, no more "J" names...one full generation of "J" is enough already...move on to the next letter on the alphabet or pick a different letter before we run out of "J" names, please! Geez! At least they're not the Octoplets and they're self-reliant and not on any type of public assistance! I have a large family but we take up every single letter of the alphabet instead of sticking to one letter of the alphabet for the entire damn family!

I'm still at a loss as to how Michelle remembers the names of her children. If it were me, I'd never be able to keep them straight. :giggle:

That's right, People should NOT judge. I honestly don't know how she does it, but it definitely a challenge. ;)

I don't necessarily have a problem with the Duggars having more children, but when will Michelle and Jim Bob decide that enough is enough? I do have to admit that I have a sick curiosity as to how many children they will have before they decide to call it quits in the pregnancy department.

I will say this for the Duggars - they seem to be much more responsible than the octomom. However, I wonder at the effect of so much child bearing on Mrs. Duggar.

You do have a point there, deafskeptic. I just hope that if Michelle continues to have children well past the age of 40, she strongly considers the negative impact it may have on their lives. It isn't fair to have a child just for the sake of having a child if you know chances are high that they will develop CP or other disabilities.

I find it very depressing when people talk about someone having a disabled child as something to be avoided.

I'm also all in favor of Nadya Sulman. I think she deserves more suport then people are giving her.

They will probably just have it all in their house. ;)

It'll be much worse than a mosh pit at a heavy metal concert! And the cars parked will be in the back and front yards of the Duggars house and maybe even those who needs parking will pay the neighbors money to park on their back and front yards and even so, that shit will stretch for ten or twenty blocks. I know all too well because I grew up in Milwaukee, and I always go to the West Allis State Fair Ground, and that event is extremely popular to the point where every single neighbor in the 20 miles radius of the fairground advertise cheap parking in their back and front years, and those neighbors can rake in about $4,000 dollars in the first 3 days alone - my cousin's dad does this and has been doing this ever since I could remember.

Having a disabled child is something to be avoided. Having someone in the family with a disability is very draining on resources, both financial and emotional. We have three members of my family with significant disabilities. It's not all roses and rainbows like you think it is.

Yeah... Disabled children are usually aborted. That explains everything; they're just 'not normal'. Yeah, whatever...
