Jolie,
Maria answered pretty good and, since there are quite a number of college educated people on alldeaf, allow me to elaborate what most of us feel. You see, if someone came up to me screaming profanities, wanting something or a complaint, they would be asked to tone it down. I'd help them, but if I needed to repeat to limit the profanities, their chances for me helping them speedily are greatly reduced. If talking on the phone, I automatically drop the call by hitting the drop button. Doing so, they never heard the click of the receiver and yes, I have done it a few times. Talk to me intelligently or don't talk at all, as I don't have all day to decifer what you're trying to tell me through all the profanities.
Gruber may swear all he wants, but in the end, his phone call just got dropped. He can claim First Amendment all he wants to, I don't have to put up with the language and there is no law that says I have to.
