Does it bother you when someone smoke?....

It depends on how they smoke.

It does bother me if they smoke right next to me, especially in an enclosed space like a bedroom or something. If it was outside (not on my own private property), then that would be up to me to decide to stand next to them.

Also, if they're going to be heavy smokers... then it would probably bother me since their clothes reek of cigarette smoke. :(

Well even though I am smoker, if someone leave a cigarette butt still smoking in the ashtray and the smoke from the cigarette butt come to my face then it does bother me, also the cigars are the far out the worst to me. The cigar's smoke are like smog and more heaviest smoke than any smoking products that I've tried. I don't really mind if someone or myself to smoke in the house, but have to have the window open so that the smoke won't stick inside the house.

But, except the Hookah and tobacco for the pipe, they do smell good! The Hookah smoke smell like heated fruit because of cooking the fruit flavorized tobacco instead of burning the tobacco, and the tobacco pipe smoke smell like honey alittle.

it made me mad when someone smoked a ciagrette.

I would like to say something about this. I do understand how you feel about people smoking even though they knew it was a bad health to them, including myself, but I see being mad as unnecessary reaction to the smokers. I will explain my point.

I was nearly being killed by a motorcycle accident, and I was only 4 years old. I have permamented broken bones in my two fingers and one of my hip, 6 total scars, even being in the coma, all of those come from that single 25 mph motorcycle accident. Today I knew alot of people who like to ride the motorcycle, but myself, I personal dislike the motorcycle because of my past.

Should I get pissed off at them for riding the motorcycle and supporting a group that are against the motorcycle, and voting the law to ban the motorcycles, telling negative stuff about the motorcycle?

But I didn't do those. The reason why I didn't do those because I know they are all different, they want to try a new on their experience, and they are just the humans like me and I can't expect them to think the exactly same as I do and I'd rather to see them happily doing whatever they like and learn their own lesson later in their life instead of lecturing them to do the same thing as I do without them having any experience, which seems unfair to me.

I hate the smell of cigarettes and I have never smoked. Tried but hated it. However, my hubby is a smoker and it was a challenge in our relationship when we first started dating cuz I am so against it. He tried quitting for me but couldnt. So, we came to a compromise..he will smoke Cloves or Cigars when he is with me. So far, it is working cuz I love the smell of those two. No cigarettes are allowed in my house. His parents are heavy smokers and I hate going to their house cuz everyone smokes inside and I end up with bad allergy symptoms. One time, it got so bad, we had to leave after 30 mins of being there.

When I was growing up my parents were very heavy smokers (almost chain-smokers). I used to get frequent ear infections. The minute I moved out - the ear infections stopped. 1 + 1 = 2! And I was amazed that white curtians...can actually stay white if there's no smoke! I always thought curtains were supposed to be yellowish!

I used to beg my parents to quit smoking (when I was still living with them). One day I bought a pack of those things you use to cover your mouth - and started wearing them around the house. My parents would roll their eyes. Then I made t-shirts saying my parents are trying to kill me with cigarettes and other slogans. I made signs all over the house about the dangers of smoking. I posted pictures of black lungs. Looking back, I now know my parents really tolerated a lot of my "statements." LOL.

It's other people's business if they smoke. I have lots of friends who smoke, and I don't care. However, I do not want smoke around my children because there's vast research that proves that second-hand smoke is very bad for them. I think it should be illegal for children to be exposed to smoking because of the negative effects on their health. We as adults can make choices to hang out with smoke and smokers...children don't have choices. They're stuck :(.

Yeah! I hate smoking cigarette! I hate it when stick on my smell good hair and favorite perfume on my clothes. I don't like to smell the cigarette in house! It make my eyes get dry easy. My dad was smoking cigarette. When it's bother on my nose. I told him go outside for smoking. He said, "This is my HOUSE!" He was rude! I told him it's bother me. After my dad passed away. I got a sinus infection and had a cysts in my sinus. I had been dying for 3 years. I got removed the cysts and clean out my sinus. I am better so far. I am glad that smoking ban in all bars and restaurants. I don't care what the smoker people's complain about ban. It's not good for health and stick the food.

Exactly what my dad's side family are heavy smoker chain. I can notice the wall was white to yellow and stick on curtain too. My old neighbor. She was only 82 years old and heavier smoker in her apt. I saw her wall is so dark yellow. I can't stand it! When I smelled it.

Other wise, My sister in law is complain about outside is very COLD when she is smoking. She asked me if I care for her to smoke in my apt. I said NO! She said it's COLD. I told her to wear a gloves. She said nah! I said TOOBAD! My fiance used to smoking cigarette before. I made him to quit. His best friend and his sister smoking in room when I sleep in other room. I smelled like a cigarette. I got yelled at them. I told them to smoke outside. I can't sleep because of cigarette bother me! They said sorry. I grabbed the air freshener spray to prevent of smell!!!

Yeah, it's a sad thing... a lot of parents don't realize what they're putting their kids through.

I do know some people who smoke, but they smoke outside... not in the house. I applaud those people for making that kind of effort to respect their children's (and others') spaces. :)

I agree, smoking can kill anyone, secondhand smoke can be very bad if someone who always smoke inside home, imagine for kids inside home with someone who smoke everyday.

I never smoke a ciagrette in my whole life (well, I did tried one time with my friend who's a smoker, I cough and cough then I was like "no way, never again", it smelled awful on me and digusting". My mom got mad at me when I came home from high school.

When you see someone smoke, it doesn't look cool to me, I remembered back in 1980s-1990s that advertisment-billboard, a model woman posed big red sexy pouty lip with cigarette that says, "cool, sexy and mature". To me, that's not cool, not sexy and not mature when you smoke.

I'm sorry for the offensive to anyone who's a smoker or ex-smoker. That's how I feel.

When someone smoke around me and he think is sexy or cool to get my attention, acutally it a turn off. I would not want anyone or anybody smoking around my child as well. I don't want smoking to affect the health of my child. I see how smoking is sexy when it not. Smile.

I agree. I've seen people smoke because they think it's cool. I don't see what's cool about it.

I've smoked before, but I'm not a chain smoker (like those who go through 1 or 2 packs a day). I smoked occasionally... at parties where I'm sitting outside with a bunch of guys smoking cigarettes and cigars while drinking beer and enjoying a simple conversation. I never smoked at restaurants, friend's houses, in my car, etc...

Ah I remember so many times I worked at camp ground for every saturday night we have dance night out and people smoke all over the place at the dance and I just hate my clothes smelling like cigarettes and my hair smell too. I had to wash my clothes and shower. I always hear excuses from people for their reasons to smoke such as they say smoking help them lose weight, or smoking help them eat less, or smoking relaxing, smoking sexy, smoking cool, smoking because other people smoke. All that is really unnessary to smoke. I have known a friend who smoke 3 pack a day for 17 years and can't stand the smell of him smoking. It really such a shame for people who smoke would end up ruining their health.

If I have my own house, I would prefer friends/families to smoke cigarettes outside.

I did tried smoke cig in the past when I was younger, but I didn't like them. So I have never bought a packet.

Hated smoking and hate the smell of marijuana even more.

I knew from when I was 4, I never wanted to smoke, so I never have. None of my family smokes now. Well, maybe my eldest nephew, but who knows with him.

So if I am seeking a Mr.Right, he'd have to be a non-smoker.

Suppose Mr. Right posses all the characteristics that u value and are attracted to and his one and only flaw is that he smokes? That was what happened with my hubby and I. He was everything I wanted in a man except for the smoking part.
