from what I understand, according to my husband who grew up in CT in the upper class area, These people don't drive to their job to NY city. They ride the trains and take taxi. Even those who live in the city take the subway or taxi. I think blind people should be treated with Limo :)

Anyway, Driving to me is like owning a house. For awhile it seem awesome, but once the responsibilities and such come in, you begin to think renting isn't so bad afterall. My sister love to rent because there's no permanant commitment or worries.

Rich?????? HA! that dude owes me money. You are talking about Bill Gates from Waco right???

sorry should have used his birth name - William Gates III. That one?

simplicity comes with price.

No, no way!

I'm happy with just the good old Paratransit Van (and public transportation when there is some, which is not the case where I live.)

Totally agree. My wife and I do the same.

Being Deafy? What kind of remark is that?

You see deafness from a pathological view which is fine. Nobody is gonna criticize you for it but there are people who dont see it from that view so by insulting those who have a different view just furthers divides the community. Where's the respect?
That is interesting and please correct me if I am wrong but isn't it only in the USA where deafness is considered cultural?

If people sign to each other to communicate, how that NOT cultural?
I agree that language is part of culture but there is more to culture than just language. So just because people use sign language to communicate I don't think that means they are considred D/deaf or culturally deaf. There is more to it than that.

:gpost:

And don't say anything else, Jiro. I do believe they could use that money for other things than trying to "cure" something that isn't "sick". If you know what I mean.
