Do you have kind of insurances?

For some of you, don't forget the insurance you took out for your pager, lol.
I don't have that one; I better be careful. :lol:

Haha I don't have pager, and that's why I don't have one! I don't want pay more monthly payments hehe :lol:

I only got car insurance.

No pager insurance thanks goodness as I still got the same pager for over 2 years.

Haha, Reba, I can't imagine you losing your pager. I didn't get the insurance, either; in fact, I don't even get extended warranties that are offered by just about everybody that has anything to sell! Gosh!

Same here; no extended warranties or service contracts.

If people set aside the money that would have been spent on extended warranties, service contracts, and small merchandise insurances, then they would have enough money to pay for replacements and repairs without the payments (and probably money left over).

Did you know that some retail stores pay the cashiers a commission for every extended warranty that they sell?

Oh yes I forgot another insurance... I only get travel insurance when I'm going overseas.

Yeah, Reba, it doesn't surprise me about the kick-backs. What I do automatically anymore now is when I'm offered the extended warranty, I jokingly tell the clerk that it appears that I have more faith than they do in this product and that's the end of it...we just end up having a lil laff over dat.

What is "compulsory" insurance? I know that it means "required" but what does it cover?

I forget to add "Private" to compulsory insurance including house property.

It's complicatation to cover the cost between healthcare and private compulsory insurance. I know some people confused compulsory between vehicle and healthcare... I am trying my best to explain.

I removed compulsory insurance in vehicle insurance to add private compulsory insurance because it's including house property. It's silly to have 2 compulsory insurances.

Anyway, private compulsory insurance is cover for us as responsible insurers who cause for death or bodily injury of people thru car accidents or our property. They get claim for their loss or bodily injury from my insurance.

Example: I as a responsible driver who hits to damage/hurt/kill person on the road.

For house property: The window of other house or car of other property owner are damage by the scoccer ball, my children play. I as responsible to cover the cost to replace a new window for them so my insurance do for me.

Other example: I as responsible person who damage my neighbor's fence & gate by car then they get new fence & gate as replacement so my insurance do for me.

The people who have accident in my property then they get claim from my insurance. (slip out and fall down from ice and snow)... Accord German law, we as property owner are obligate to sweep to clear the snow out to garden from path between 8 am and 10 pm to free for the people to walk.

Like what Danny, my eldest son had a head surgery after severe bicycle accident at 2 years ago. My healthcare insurance rejected to cover the cost of Danny's head surgery because they thought the property where Danny had an accident belongs to Farmer until they found out that the property belongs to PUBLIC so they (healthcare) are obligate to cover the cost of Danny's head surgery. Healthcare only cover the cost for public accidents and they also obligate to cover the cost for the accident of healthcare insurer who have an accident in their own property (like what I fall down from stair and my ankle fractured), not other people who had an accident in my house or property.

Weather damage... Example electricity tools blow up due weather damage (windstorm, etc). They paid the repair to fix electricity tools for us several times... It was affected to me twice is freezer and fax machine, they are being blow up and dead. They send the repair to check and confirm them in writing that fix is not possible. They paid new freezer and fax machine in different year to replace for me. It goes the same with water pipes as well due weather. I got a new freezer as replacement thru insurance last year.

Private compulsory insurance sometimes disagree/reject that I am responsible for cause the accident of others... They hired Expert to examine the proof or get lawyer... court... It's their decision to mistrust or not... I really don't care as long as I insure them... They have to pay, no matter what. If my insurance lost at court case then they have to pay... If they won at court then is their lucky to save money... :lol:

Any question?

yeah, I do not need to extend warranties or whatever...

All what I do is compare the shops before buy flat screen TV and make sure how many years guarantee they add in TV prices. That's one we found is 3 years guarantee so we bought flat screen TV last year for our Xmas gift. They suggested me to extend 5 years from 3 years (including price) but we have to add the cost for 2 other years. We said No. We deal with the people and make sure how many warranty they including the prices before we buy... with no extended warranties.

Thank you for the explanation. :ty:

In America, that's called liability insurance coverage.

I have liability coverage included for each insurance:
* homeowners
* vehicle
* business

Liability coverage also includes the legal expenses that are incurred.

Same here!!! Except no renter's insurance for our apartment in our lives (never had one)!!! :lol: But we did had house insurance before we sold our house that we lived there for 11 years. We both have Medi-Cal and Medi-Care health insurance from SSI/SSA.
