Derek and I coming from Lincolnwood Mall

Thrift/consignment stores are not too bad- you just have to be picky about which to go to. Most I've been to are nice and I've found some good deals there.

Walmart ALWAYS has clearance sales regardless of weather- they go by the fashion 'seasons'. I used to watch for the Faded Glory polo shirts (really like 'em) and wait for the prices to drop- once got some shirts for $2.00 and $5.00 when they are normally around 12.00-20.00 bucks as they were starting to swap out the short sleeve stuff for long sleeve & more 'cold weather' stuff.

Steinmart if you have them- is also another good place to look. Really any department stores or similar are great if you keep your eye peeled for sales.

That's the problem-- it's not warm enough to switch out the long sleeves yet. If you look at the weather forecast for Chicago for the next 14 days, you won't see a lot of temps breaking 50. Many of them are in the 40's, and that's because of the frozen Lake Michigan. Temps right now is only 35 degrees.

Now let's play nice here and behave yourselves.

Thanks

I am sure you have a thrift store around you. The best thing is to go to a nice area where they have thrift store (second hand store) that usually sell well clothes. Pants can cost for 2 to 5 dollars or so.

Yeah, there is one not far from my home, but I haven't been there in a while, though, and the fact that I've been shedding pounds does call for new pants, just not used ones. I need quality pants for bicycle riding, and I'm not likely to find those there.

Here's the thing about my meds-- they make me gain weight, and now I am just starting to reverse that after a long struggle with my weight.

Yea, I have seen that happen to several other people too.

Years ago I went to the local Salvation Army intending to buy jeans as work pants. I found some that were so nice they turned into my good ones. Since then that is the first place I look. They also have the advantage being used of having been washed so you don't have to guess at how much they will shrink with washed.

Mark I think that's the best, most normal pic you've ever posted of yourself it's a good pic and RR is right you look like you've lost some weight...

Derek with that grin I get the feeling he's thinking about turbo or teaching cats to clap ;)
How about teaching cats to clap while they drive their turbocharged cat cars? Best of both worlds!

I have a belt...... my pants are nearly three times too big. I used to be a size 44, but those pant sizes just keep dropping. Right now I could fit a size 36 if I tried, and with my current budget, getting pants isn't easy to do.
Go to Goodwill--they have clothing for inexpensive prices. TCS and I shop there. It just takes a little more time and effort to find what you want because they aren't sorted by size.

Also, if you donate some of your too-big clothes, you'll get a discount voucher for the next time you shop there.

Now that is an option. There's one in downtown Chicago, and I could certainly shop there.

Ive always wonder why guy jeans have mkre variation than girl jeans... But yeah sometimes even at costco i get them also like at 12 dollars

I wish you could still 100 % cotton jeans today. I that jeans that stretchy crap they put in jeans .

Or of the picture above^^. And yes, I actually have, because I have pants that keep slipping down, and it's getting harder and harder to go out and not accidentally show myself in public.

You would fit right into with the younger crowd , I bet you seen the way some guys wear their pants waaay down below their waist. You can more than you want too.
