 Many of my friends were among those 300. Soooo Jealous.

YID With LID: Occupy Denver Fails in Attempt to Invade BlogCon

Gotta love that!

Their biggest mistake was not only trying to attack 300 bloggers, but 300 very snarky bloggers. We did not fight "fair." Instead of fighting with fire we fought back by making fun of them.

300 bloggers with cameras and videos to cover 20 OWSers barging in and making a scene. Good planning there, folks.

And, of course, where was their leader?

You mean the Founding Fathers? Take your pick, they are all dead and buried. :P

Sad that he died way too early. Indeed, a funny guy.

Given the direction of your political persuasion, I would question whether you understood any of the messages he delivered. Much less his biting left wing humor.

How long did you want him to live? He did his last taped performance in his late 70's.

Just looked up his quotes and after just one sec I found that I thought very funny: Atheism is a non-prophet organization.

Yep. He was one of the most reverent and most left wing comedians around. Old hippie, that one.:giggle:

And you know how the right feels about those danged hippies!

I like the one about how people who drive slower than you is an idiot and that anyone driving faster than you is a manic. :giggle: I think it's time to review my driving habits.

Carlin was hilarious. I still repeat some of his stuff... He had a gift.

Watching the demonstrations in Denver on livestream made me think back to this post about your experience at Kent State. Seeing all the chaos it's hard to imagine anyone there would have great recall of the events. :dunno: It will be interesting to see how these stories will change in the years to come though. Much confusion on whether tear gas has been used or not.

You took a quote out of context.

I was there, Steinhauer. I know exactly what happened.:cool2:

Last I checked, you were not a sociologist, nor were you there. You have no business making disrespectful remarks regarding the students that were killed without justification.

Seriously?

May 4, 1970, on a Monday. Um, that was 41 years ago. These were college kids 18, 19, 20 years old at the time.

:hmm:

Plus some outsiders outside that age range. :cool2:

What are you trying to say, Kokonut? If you are going to make implications, then have the balls to come right out and say what you mean.

Yes, it was 41 years ago. I know exactly how old I was. Do you?

You should probably stop listening to Steiny. His math is seriously off.

Perhaps my memory is better than yours under pressure. I can guarantee you that I don't experience something like that and then easily forget it.

*down twinkles* on the responses in here. LOL

Skip to 0:20 seconds and watch some new rudimentary signs. Gotta laugh. At least they're trying.

I don't think anyone could forget a thing like that.

Yeah but it is amazing how memories work....perception and all.
