I understand that you have an itch you need to scratch by villifying police officers.
Had a few run-ins with any?

First of all, I do not know him .. well. I have talked with him before. But, if you are hesistant to be proven wrong (and a liar) once again, perhaps I can ask him if he would kindly join in this discussion?
and just to point out that you are misrepresenting how forums work - let me make up a number and look how it formats:
(678) 678-6788
Which is it Steiny? You know him or you don't know him. You just told us about a conversation you had with him regarding SOP and LET.
Yeah, why don't you ask him to do just that. I'll wait around for his entrance into this discussion.

Ok, I will ask him.
The number is (706) 769-3945
SHERIFF'S OFFICE - ADMINISTRATION 706-769-3945. I did a google on that number and it is unlikely that you spoke to Scott Berry himself.
If even Forbes is writing about this, cops really went over the top.By and large, Occupy has been a peaceful affair. Certainly pepper-spraying protesters while they sit calmly in a row like this is a gross abuse of power. It should have our collective blood boiling, whether or not we even agree with the protesters themselves. What was meant to be a protest against economic equality quickly morphs into a protest against the police state.
And make no mistake, the powers of the police in this country have grown out of hand. I’ve written at length on the militarization of the police, of SWAT team abuses, and the way that the war on terror and the war on drugs have both contributed to what is really just a war on individual liberty. Occupy Wall Street may need to grow up and evolve, but a far greater and more pressing issue facing this country is what to do about the security state we’ve erected about us at the local, state, and federal level.

This should be interesting and informative if he decides to participate.

too whom?
To the Sheriff of Oconee County, Scott Berry.
Don't worry, he doesn't bite. He is a nice person.
I thought you didn't know him.
What? You sent an email to the Sheriff's Dept.? They will get a huge laugh out of that one. It'll never see the Sheriff's desk.

I just kind of figured that with all of this anti-LEO discussion, that it might be prudent to get an experienced Sheriff's take on this.

Like all he has to do is sit around and answer silly emails from silly people.
And how long will it be before he answers if he answers at all? Why would he be interested in some obscure (not to me!) forum for the Deaf?
So, you edited.
I thought you already had his take on it. That is what you claimed.
