Sorry to activate an old thread, but I wanted to post some resources in case anyone else reads this thread.

You can also get a TTY if you prefer that type of equipment.

ATLA (atlaak.org) is currently the ambassador for the relay program and can help anyone obtain the equipment. They travel across the state of Alaska..

2. Bridges Navigator Program - Bridges Navigtor - Home
This is a case management program for people who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, or even late-deafened. You can call and ask general questions or even have a long-term case manager if it is necessary. They travel across the state of Alaska as well.

According to their website, they do the following:
"The Bridges Navigator Program is a statewide program that provides a range of resources and services designed to improve long-term employment and housing options to Alaskans who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This program is run by Alyeska Vocational Services, funded via a grant provided by the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services.

Our Navigators provide assistance navigating and accessing available resources and coordinating siloed services systems for individuals with multiple disabilities. They provide training to employers and service providers on Deaf culture values and coordinate with Division of Vocational Rehabilitation to maximize employment supports and assist individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in accessing and maintaining appropriate and affordable housing.
