Never said I was wasting my time here but I do not need to spend my entire day on this forum as some people do nor does the fact that I choose only to limit my posts to cochlear implant related issues have any relevence but I can see from your choice of words and limited vocabulary that any discussion with you is indeed a "waste of time".
Rick

Wow. That's quite the run on sentence. Angry, aren't you?

You don't have the power to read what people have written, but you do have an uncanny power to read it, distort it through your singular and narrow frame, and then respond to what you think is there rather than what is really there.

I quote and respond. How is that distorting? (The OP even admitted my quotes were what she said, but apologized and backed off)

No, you don't quote. You paraphrase. They are completely and totally different.

The distortion lies in the interpretation. It isn't on the page, it is in your head.

And the OP also confirmed that you totally misunderstood her posts. Where have you apologized to her?

:laugh2: Your idiocy never cease to amaze me. Parents just look for easy fix for their Deaf children by implanting them. What about their choices and decisions whether if they want ci or not? Do you really think CI can solve the problems? I highly don't think so.

If spending time researching and carefully considering a decision for one's child is evidence of "idiocy" in your limited mind then I am just one of tens of thousands of other parents who must "amaze" you on a daily basis but then it doesn't take much to "amaze" the likes of you.

What should "amaze" you are the tens of thousands of children and even more adults who have benefited from cochlear implants over the last quarter of a century.

The issue of choices that parents make for their children has been discussed as nauseum, if you cannot comprehend or follow the discussion, that is your problem. What you think about cochlear implants quite frankly is of no concern to me as long as you do not attempt to impose your misguided opinions on someone else's child.

Look again. And the OP said I was right! How is that a distortion?

No, dear, the OP did not say you were "right". She said she may have used those words, but she did not mean what you thought she meant.

See, there, you are even distorting that. You really are a pro at difusing responsibility.

Like I said, the distortion is not on the page, it is in your head.

I don't feel like digging through the thread to find it, but she said she said those things, and she apologized, that she was angry.

I really don't have insight on this. You think that he is celebrating that he "got one more"? It is absurd. We have very different views on very early implantation, on rehab, on educational isssues, on language and methodology. The only thing we agree on is that parents of CI users are not monsters, and that parents have the right to make this decision for their child. Oh, and we both share the same hearing status, for some here that is enough to make us in cahoots.

I do not disagree with your choices that you made for your child for unlike others on this board I am not omnipotent. I just acknowledge that they are different then the ones we made for our child.

What makes me laugh about jill and her sycophants is that they are quick to make up lies about me but they cannot produce one post where I have said that a parent must implant their child or raise them orally or mainstream them.

I maintain now, then and always that each child, even a deaf child, is a unique individual and that the goal is for parents to make choices for their child that are in their child's best interests.

Do you and your evil buddies sit in a dark smoke filled room somewhere, cackling, "We got another one" each time a child get implanted?

Exactly. And she said that while she said those things, she did not mean them the way you took them. You misunderstood the entire meaning of her post by focusing on CI< CI< CI. That is the whole point, fiare jour. You jumped her case and got all defensive based on the fact that you misunderstood.

I ask you again, where did you apologize to the OP?

faire jour,

Absolutely not! We all know the dangers of smoking!

No, she meant them when she said them, and then cooled off, and didn't mean them anymore. Totally different then never meaning them.

And I don't regret a thing I said.

Boy you came up with that image quickly. Must have had something pretty substantial to base it on.:giggle:

I see that your sense of humor is lacking... ever heard of sarcasm?
