I see that too and I really feel Oddball didnt realize that when typing cuz I know that in the past, she has been nuetral on this topic. I think she was referring to parents like the ones she replied to.

However, if Oddball meant to say all parents, then yea..I wouldnt blame you for feeling the way you do.

Same here..with him, I am anti-CI all because I dont support the oral-only approach so yea, Jillo speaks for me as well.

And neither do the people who call CI users freaks, Aliens, and Frakenstein. Those who say that all hearing parents of Deaf children should have their children taken away, and that parents who give their children CI's are child abusers. Oddball just said that parents of CI users are just trying to "fix" their kids. I hear that bulls*** everyday.

He never has a problem with me, and we hold very different views.

You guys need to truly get over yourselves. I am not angry, this is calm, thought out Me. I read the post and responded to the material within. I do not have the power to read what people don't write, like so many of you here claim to. I am extremely pleased that I made the decision that I did, I have 0 misgivings about it, I'm just sorry that it wasn't able to be done earlier.

Never said I was wasting my time here but I do not need to spend my entire day on this forum as some people do nor does the fact that I choose only to limit my posts to cochlear implant related issues have any relevence but I can see from your choice of words and limited vocabulary that any discussion with you is indeed a "waste of time".

You don't have the power to read what people have written, but you do have an uncanny power to read it, distort it through your singular and narrow frame, and then respond to what you think is there rather than what is really there.

I really don't have insight on this. You think that he is celebrating that he "got one more"? It is absurd. We have very different views on very early implantation, on rehab, on educational isssues, on language and methodology. The only thing we agree on is that parents of CI users are not monsters, and that parents have the right to make this decision for their child. Oh, and we both share the same hearing status, for some here that is enough to make us in cahoots.
