Court of public opinion looms large in George Zimmerman murder trial

If Martin's behavior is problematic so his parent should commit him to psychiatric hospital.

Let psychiatrist to take care of him and give a lot of Thorazine to tame the Martin.
Too ****ing late! Sadly, he's gone.

I can't believe it when I saw his brother on TV. He's so a gentleman. I am really proud of him as his parents are. Nobody's perfect. Some family members suck and some don't.

I don't believe in any teen's comments over social networking, except for threat messages, such as school shooting or plan to kill anyone warranted me to get attention and report to LEO.

In this country, families no longer have the option. The person has to agree to being helped. This is one of the big pitfalls of the mental health community.

Bear in mind that not everyone responds the same to medications, even "harmless" ones. This is why it's always asked of the patient if they have any reaction to medications. Crack, meth and spirits may seem more dangerous than weed, but weed contains a number of ingredients (which varies by dealer) and not everyone will react in the same way to it. Paranoia is one of the main reactions associated with using (weed) and that's been consistent and well documented each generation.

1) It's "weed" ....there is no "s"

2) It is not opinion. There tons of sites that discuss paranoia and marajuana. SOME smokers even enjoy that side effect.

3) No, not all people share the same experience. THAT is why the pot smoking IS a relevent discussion to the case.

4) If you want to see violence and weed mixed take a stroll through Oakland or even Austin any night of the week.

I'm saying your statement about Martin became too violent from weed, is opinion so it is difficult to determine about how drug could worsen. It is much conditional about weed can influence on his behavior. He became violent person before kicked into drug.

If you think so, it should admissible in the court. I want know about how much THC in Martin's body, instead of saying trace. That's not my decision, that's judge's decision.

No need because mixed drugs are dangerous and like I said, the person became violent before they use weed. It is pretty bad in Birmingham and Atlanta too.

Oh really, Martin was minor so I thought parent could commit him to psychiatric hospital if his behavior put his life in threat. :hmm:

Yes, it is fact about weed cause side effects, including paranoia but statement about Martin is more opinion.

Never said that.

You did. See below.

It is extremely relevant. Marajuana causes paranoia. The reason GZ gives for following Trayvon is that Trayvon was acting strange which smoking pot supports. Also paranoia could explain why Trayvon jumped GZ. The marajuana evidence is relevant to the case and if for some reason this jury is whacko and convicts GZ, the exclusion of this evidence is probably good grounds for an appeal.

In bold, I'm saying about your statement is opinion because we don't know if it is fact.

The autopsy said weed "may" have influence on his behavior.

Not any more and this has changed greatly over the years. Now even if a doctor knows a patient will cause harm, they're unable to lock them up until they've done something.

Oh really, that's odd but several of my therapists say so.

My theory is that if TM was like his non-violent brother and he got high, this incident would probably never happen (ignoring GZ and walking home). Therefore you may be right.

Think about the recent shootings and the people now in custody. The shooters look bonkers to me. This didn't happen on the day of the shooting, they were bonkers before they struck. So why didn't anyone lock them up? Do they look "normal" to you? Not to me...to the doctors? If they got their degree out of a cracker jack box maybe...the reality is until they hurt someone, no one can touch them. Sadly, people are dead because no one acted...and the fact that they're in custody doesn't change that.

No.

In the words you bolded is a very important word. "could"

That statement is not an opinion.

Nor a fact. "Could" means possibly, not factually. I never forget what Dr. Bao said and I like it. He said opinion, no memory or unknown answer means there's no right or wrong.

Nor a fact.

Well there are several facts there. IMO it should have been left up to the jury to decide if and how they are related.

For instance.

GZ claimed he followed Trayvon because he was acting strange. That's a fact.

Trayvon had THC in his system. Also a fact.

Dr Bao said he thinks pot might have affected Trayvon's behavior. Also a fact.

Pot has been known to cause paranoia. Also a fact.

The judge is preventing the jury from weighing these facts.

It could be too late to get stopped.

Yes, many states cut the funding for mental health and commitment to hospital require court's order, but in some states, the sheriff can commit anyone to hospital if they put life in danger or danger to anyone.

Yes, it has changed since deinstitutionalization.

In bold, it isn't fact in this case.

Martin's strange behavior could be gangster behavior, look no normal to Zimmerman.

Bao said "maybe" - keyword. It can be true or not.
