Public display of Nazi symbols is an illegal in Germany.
ah allright
It's not illegal to show Confederate here, but for school yes it's against rules.
As you probably know that my high school were against the Confederate symbols but the bunch of rednecks and cowboys wear the confederate symbols on my school's campus, the teachers and principals doesn't look seem care about it.
Hey, buddy, why don't you come over to Mississippi and stay there for awhile or visit?
ah allright

A debate has been raging on Associated Content and in Society over the Confederate Flag. Does it represent heritage or racism? The answer is simple. The Confederate Flag has been used to represent both. The Confederate flag represents a geographical region: The South. It represents trucks with lift kits, the "Dukes of Hazzard," fishing, hunting, grits, barbecue, the use of the word "y'all," and the broad spectrum of Southern cultural identity. It represents Ole Miss and Lynyrd Skynyrd. It represents the history of an Army that bravely fought to defend their homeland and their families against an invader. It represents the memory of solemn, sacred, battlefields where Americans from the North and South fought and fell. Unfortunately, the Confederate Flag has also been used to represent racism. In the 1950s, segregationists added the Confederate Flag to some Southern state flags to make a point about segregations. Unfortunately, too many people sat idly by and let the Klan, segregationists, and other hate groups use the Confederate Flag in an effort to intimidate people. In the eyes of many, a symbol of heritage became a symbol of hate.
To me the Confederate Flag is an exuberant expression of Redneck Culture. Personally, I don't think that the old Battle Flag of the Confederacy is a symbol of hate, in fact, I'd really love to have red Dodge Charger with a Confederate Flag painted boldly on the roof. I don't and I won't. First of all, I'm forty and I can't climb through the window like they did on the "Dukes of Hazzard." Second, I have a respectable office job and such a display would be frowned upon in the corporate world. But, most importantly, I'm aware that many people are offended by the Confederate Flag and I simply don't want to be rude. As a Southerner, I place value politeness, hospitality, and courtesy. In my mind, it would be impolite. I'd rather see the flag in just a few select sacred places like battlefields, cemeteries, biker bars, and Southern rock concerts.
The Confederate Flag: Hate or Heritage?
He has a good example of what the flag represents. It's just sad to see that flag is being abused by such groups which takes the wrong message. I just see the flag that represents history that Americans fought against Americans. Like I posted earlier in this thread, there is always controversy surrounding the Confederate flag.
Interesting story.
I use confederate flag as southern pride and heritage, however I know some people got offended but really don't care because they don't understand and rather not to discuss if any people want ask after got offended, this flag isn't used for any hate.
I noticed mostly rural/suburb blacks are more tolerate to confederate flag since most urban blacks aren't.
I don't think that statement would hold up to scrutiny. For one thing, it is not just blacks that object to the use of the Confederate flag.
I was speaking of my experience in my state, I had already noticed by myself.
I do have some black friends and they don't have problem with confederate flag.
Many blacks don't have a problem with the use of the Confederate flag. It is not the symbol of the flag that causes objections. It is the behavior of some indviduals who use the flag intentionally as a symbol of their racist attitudes. It is not the flag, it is the individual's intent.
In those cases, you can take away the Confederate flag, but you still have a racist.
How I'm still racist?
I didn't say you were. I said some individuals use the Confederate flag as a symbol for their racist attitudes. Forbidding those individuals to display the Conferderate flag doesn't take away their racism.
Ok, I got your point.
