I don't view the Confederate flag as a racist. I think the flag is a history and heritage. So I voted A symbol of Heritage (Civil War Veteran Generation).
In relation to Byrdie's question, it means people born in the Deep South or the former Confederate states.
Ha, you wish!Even with individuals that are born in the Southern states--chances are high that their bloodlines will relate to an individual who is born in the North.....
In essence--a "true Southerner" doesn't exist anymore.
Ha, you wish!
We have black and white families whose ancestors have been here since Charleston was founded. They still carry the historic last names, and speak Gullah and "olde Cha'stonian."

*That "gimme sugar" don't mean pass the sugar.
Jiro,
You never told me what the Juneteenth Celebration is and why it is celebrated.
I take it you don't know the answer to either question?
That's obvious. Everyone knows that. Tell me more. If you once again refuse to answer my question, I will have no choice but to assume you don't know anything about the Juneteenth Celebration and its' significance.
if everybody knows, then I already know too. that's all you'll get from me. another hint - it has a several important significances to remind the Americans.
And they are?
see Calvin's post #564. If I didn't know anything about Juneethe Celebration, I wouldn't have said that it has several important significances. I could have said one but no... I know enough that it has several.
again - see calvin's post #564
I don't need to see Calvin's post since the Juneteenth Celebration is relevant to this discussion.
You may have said that the Juneteenth Celebration may have had several important "significances," but that doesn't prove you know anything about it.
I could say "the Vietnam War was significant to Americans for several reasons," but that doesn't tell anyone anything.
You need to identify what the significance of the Juneteenth Celebration is and why it is celebrated. That would convince me of the fact you know something about it.
