Greed..that's why. Isn't it ironic..it is Americans who are reinforcing this behavior by hiring them under the table and yet, we are complaining about them entering our country illegally?
 
Can't afford health insurances, cheap labor, don't want to report on taxes, avoids social security payments, medicare, medicaid, and state and federal taxe.

Jiro said, I believe several times already, they aren't the root of the problem. The employers who are hiring them are the root of the problem. To solve the problem, we have to get to the root of it. Otherwise, it will just keep on going.

If Americans really want the jobs that illegals have, Americans would be working those jobs as well. How I know? Don't have to look much further than my own community.

I know deafies who get paid under the table because they're unable to find a job with minimum wage, so they're underpaid and work illegal amount of hours and so on. If the people I know are willing to reduce themselves to that to pay the bills, why are Americans not doing the same thing if the "illegals stole their jobs"?

shame on your ex-hubby's family for illegally entering this country but.... they are forgiven now since they came forward to the authority and paid their debts to this country.

I detest illegal immigration but I detest hypocrites & ignorants even more because they turn a blind eye on obvious problem and still put the blame on illegals for their problems in a covert racist way.

Yea, that was back in the 1960s..I dont know if it was as strongly protested as it was back then. All they saw that USA was a land of opportunity and better education for their 6 children and they succeeded. All 6 kids are extremely successful even my ex hubby as much I hate to admit it.

With today's economy, I am sure that attitude about being selective about certain jobs has changed.

I did not mention Obamacare at all. I'm referring to the medical care they have been receiving for years. No, they don't get deported because the hospitals aren't allowed to report them as illegal aliens.

what's wrong with that? I'm all about promoting education and democracy. Beside - we go into other countries to promote education, equality, and democracy and we preach it too, right?

I didn't even say whether or not is was morally wrong. I said that they are not entitled to our public schools if they are here illegally. Yet, their kids do attend our schools because no one is allowed to ask if their parents are here legally.

and yes there is also a problem that they will grow up as criminals and breed more criminals. Perhaps we should focus on revising our socioeconomic approach to dealing with criminal elements instead of doing endless cycle of arrest-and-jail them. Meanwhile - we have a more serious problem too. The white collar crime.... the one who bilked us millions, if not billions of dollars by fraudulent means. The cost of white collar crime is so astronomical that the financial burden on us incurred by illegals is nothing comparable to it.

this is relating to illegal kids, right? Well thanks God we're not savage where we would discard illegal kids on street or ignore illegal kids' silent plea for help when they show signs of rape, abuse, or malnourishment. We have social responsibility with Christian belief even though I'm not Christian but I am a firm believer of helping others. Robert Krentz was a good man. I don't think he would support this Arizona's new immigration law but he definitely did want the federal government to step up the plate and put more resource in securing our border.

BLUE- - They cannot put their children in school without immunization form and additional documentations.

RED - Let ICE agents to deal with illegal immigrants and we could push federal to hire more ICE agents.

I hate to burst your bubble but they are in our public schools. They can get their immunizations at free or low cost public clinics where their parents' immigration status cannot be questioned. They not only attend the schools but the schools also provide foreign language interpreters for the parent-teacher conferences.

Well, when I attended public school so they required proof of birth certificate, social security and utility bills (for verify wherever you live in right zone).

California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas need have ICE agents that is around 15 times more than rest of states to combat an illegal immigrants due closer to US-Mexico border so I support this case.

See, none of that information shows the parents' immigration status, and the schools aren't allowed to ask.
 
Maybe the next bill will be about allowing schools to ask about immigration status?
