"Deaf Militants"-all segments including self defined cultural. I got the detail from an article Deaf Canada Today- December 1998. The author was Heather Marsden page 5/6. Seems to her- "perpetual angry persons" on the topic of deafness. Another incident Heather Whetstone being picked as Miss America speaking and hearing with her Cochlear Implant and NOT ASL. She says generated much criticism toward from "militant deaf".
Ironical: got the paper from Cdn Hearing Society/Toronto- while at Hearing Help class in 1998.
I actually have the article as well with info re You and your Deaf Child-Ontario Deaf Community- Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf-4th revised January 2000 Page 25 is a review of A Journey into the DEAF-WORLD Lane et al,1996."Comprehension presentation of the latest findings and insights into the world of signing Deaf individuals-their language thought, education, employment, culture and society."
Obviously this includes Chapter 13/14-eradication of the Deaf-Cochlear Implants.
Reality: I was NOT considering a Cochlear Implant in 1996- not a candidate under the OHIP rules then-only deaf in the Right ear (Profound in Left).
I have mentioned here many times-knew I would become bilateral deaf since 1992. That situation happpened- December 20, 2006. Operation Sunnybrook/Toronto July 12, 2007.
That is why i collected information: ASL/deafness/Cochlear Implants which I still have.

You still haven't defined a "Deaf militant." We are asking for your definition, as it is you that keeps using the phrase. You need to define what you believe a Deaf militant is. Quoting some out of date publication only tells us what that person defines a Deaf militant as. If you can't define it in your own words, it is obvious that you are throwing terminology around that you don't understand.
