No ihavent read the link that liebling provides. iwill look at sooon

according to your question, i wish that the governemnt need to open and let us know about the ufo, torture, war and more. i know they are TOO paranoid that we can destroy the government in our talent weapons. If those need to keep things low profiles while they are in currently happening which isunderstandable. but still. we all have rights to know whats going on. :hmm:

Let me repeat my position again,

I consider censorship offensive when it is a deliberate attempt to strangle your free speech rights or to deliberately present misinformation or propaganda.

That clearly includes gov censorship.

Should the USA gov reveal all it's secrets? Of course not as I also said previously... common sense should prevail!

Not just but everything on the list of links in the link, I posted.

Did you actually read the story? It has nothing to do with government censorship. As the story says:

"Each year since 1976, hundreds of student researchers, faculty, and volunteer members have presented the most important news stories that were under-covered, glossed over or ignored by the US’s major media outlets."

Also, those stories obviously aren't censored because, low and behold, there they are for everyone to read!

Where have I say that it´s Government´s link? I really have no idea why you assume that I say this... :dunno:

As I said, classified information is an exception to free speech. It should be that way. It's a very dangerous world and there are things the public does not need to know and should not know. People with clearances who knowingly divulge classified information should be prosecuted. Reporters who knowingly report that information should be prosecuted.

I didn't say government link; I said government censorship. The link wasn't even about censorship.

i was referring to jiro's question. like i mentioned that i haven't read the link you gave yet. i plan to read it at home. then i will be able to discuss about it if i am in mood for it.

Censorship

Come and discuss!!!

Please debate agree to disagree respectfully...
Well, that website is a conspiracy theorist's dream come true. All the popular conspiracies located in one website--nifty.

What exactly is it that you want to discuss? The website? The list of conspiracy theories? Each topic on the page? It covers so many various things, I don't know what point you're trying to cover, so I can't discuss it. :dunno:

This line cracked me up.

I started reading it and as soon as I came up to that line.. I was really like :bsflag: at that comment too.

"thereby making things easier for the ruling elite (easier, that is, for them to pursue their plans for global domination and enslavement of all human beings on the Earth). The successful promulgation of the official version of reality requires the suppression (censorship) of alternative versions."

If this is the foundation of his view on the whole thing, can you really take this seriously when this is in the first paragraph about censorship? I stopped after I read this and looked about the author:

"This Serendipity website is based on a libertarian (in the sense of J.S.Mill) perspective and is opposed to Fascism, Zionism, Capitalism, the New World Order and all who secretly work to cause wars for their own advantage and profit."

"Serendipity first went online in April 1996. It is the work of one person, Peter Meyer, and it contains his writings on topics of interest to him (and hopefully to others) and also the writings of many other people. From its earliest beginnings it has had sections on Maria Callas, Psychedelics, Censorship, the "War on Drugs", Common Errors (in English usage), Ganesh Baba (the psychedelic swami), the Waco Massacre, Liberty & Democracy, William Bramley's book The Gods of Eden, and the CIA."

I'm not bashing the topic of censorship, I realize and recognize that it is controversial, but I have to get the point across that the author is very biased, if you read the quotes I pasted. If anything, from what he said about his "about me" is enough for me to put the 'book down' and stop reading, or press that X.

Also, I stand same on the view as Jiro regarding the spread of censored material. Some people seriously cannot handle the information they're told. A majority of the public is just clueless droids that will follow whatever they're told. They have no mind of their own.
