Casey Anthony found not guilty of her murder charge

Bad idea. Then the father would be obligated to pay child support even if he is not the father!

My son's birth certificate doesn't have his father's name on it. I know exactly who it is and he pays child support. I'm keeping his name off, though, since we decided that he's Dad in DNA Only. ;)

PS What would you do about lesbians who artificially inseminate??

Or rape victims ? Women would not know the guy was if they raped by stranger.

Still not enough evidence to be beyond a reasonable doubt.

To you. And the jurors. However, different people do have different definitions of what doubts are "reasonable" or not.

And that was not enough evidence to convict beyond a reasonable doubt. No matter how you try to twist it.

Smell does not prove murder, nor does the DNA. She was the child's mother. That DNA could have gotten there in any number of ways.

With this jury, at least. There may well have been enough evidence to convict if the jury was totally impartial (or not!) or if they were more educated on scientific processes and terms and the like (or less evidence in that case).

In that case (the bolded), why were you so ready to convict her ?? You've said it over and over and over.

Because of her not reporting that her baby was missing for 31 days! And Casey did not want to keep her baby! Casey acted like someone trying to hide a crime, and if she did not kill her child there would had been no reason for Casey to behaved the way she did!

Speculation.

Fact: reasonable doubt came into play and she was not convicted.

She was acquitted. She cannot be tried on the same charges. Period.

None of that proves murder. You want to convict her of murder because you don't like something she did.

Of course it's speculation, I'm just pointing out that "reasonable doubt" isn't an objective measurement or anything like that, it's extremely subjective.

Oh, certainly. But it is certainly still possible that the jury was mistaken. There's just nothing that can be done about it if they were.

Bingo. There is nothing we can do about it. So there's no point in arguing over it.

Whaaaat!? You mean it's pointless to argue about most things on the internet, because all it does is make us feel like we've actually done something when all we've really done is sit around wanking the whole time?

But that's one of my forms of entertainment...

NO not all ! I still say she is guilty as HELL! And I think there is a lot more to the crime than the cops know about. Casey's mother said her daughter's car smelled it had body in it. and Casey friends said they did not smell anything.
Someone is lying right here , why did Casey's mother say she smelled a body in the trunk of her daughter's car? Are Casey's friends involved with the crime? There is something really fishy about this horrible crime. A child life was ended was too soon. I would love to see some good come out this tragic crime. Maybe a home for unwanted babies in the memory of Caylee.

Doesn't matter. What's done is done. All that is done by rehashing continually is bringing out the judgemental nature of others. Frankly, I am exceedingly grateful that our justice system does not operate on the principles some seem to think it should.

You say she is guilty, the court system says she isn't. Live with it. What you think or why you think it doesn't matter one iota.

There's a difference between legal guilt and moral guilt. Lots of people can be found "not guilty" by the courts and yet still be guilty of having actually committed the crime. It happens. (And yes, there are cases of innocent people being found guilty by the courts.) It simply means that, in the eyes of the law, the defendant cannot be penalized by the courts. It doesn't mean that society can't make moral judgments about the defendant. "Not guilty" is not always the same thing as "innocent."

I'm not saying that's the right or wrong thing to do. I'm saying, that's the way it is.

I know that! Everything that is posted here doesn't matter one iota!
The trial is over and we can disagree all night and it will not change one thing!
I know I would not want to be that child grandmother! The pain the family is going through is so horrible! I know how worried I get when my granddaughter get very sick , I would not know how to live with this kind of pain!!
We should made sure to give our children and grandchildren a great big hug every time we see them! I just so badly want to see someone pay for this hideous crime !

and what do you hope to achieve by practicing this so-called moral guilt you are speaking of?

Moral guilt sounds like lynching mob mentality to me.

I didn't say that I was practicing any moral guilt. Please re-read my post, and don't shoot the messenger.

All I wish is that the truth could be known about what happened to poor little Caylee, and if anyone was responsible for her death, that justice for Caylee could be done. Even if she died accidentally, she deserved to be treated better than last week's garbage.

This a free country and I think any way I want to! If you do not like it , lump it! And how do know I am wrong , just because she was found 'not guilty' mean
she is innocent! Then that would mean OJ is really innocent too! I wonder if a lie detector test was given to Casey? The way she lied so much, the machine might had blown a fuse!
